Quite possibly, but we probably lost points as a result, like I said that’s ok when the points aren’t quite so tight, but they are. If we are relegated by a small number of points, was it really worth it just so NP could make a point to Atkinson, I think not.

At least you’re consistent. As in consistently changing your mind.

COVID and the subsequent downturn in players values highlighted the weakness in our model, NP wasn’t a part of that, but has had to deal with the consequences, which is why he’s being allowed time to turn things around, however we really can’t afford to be relegated.

    GRADUALLY PUMPING UP THE PRICE!
I would reckon BCFC would take an offer in excess of £20m but fluctuate up or down with sell on ... ! AND have add ons with performance appearances etc

We’ve had no offers yet, these are all bargaining ploys, IF money is offered only then we’ll see what they will or won’t accept. If someone actually offered £12m I’m not sure they’d turn it down… only time will tell.

obviously add ons and sell on clauses will form part of any deal as well.

Can’t see it, apart from anything else wages would be too high, we’re in the process of halving, or they’re about’s, the players wages that we have. I can’t see this guy calling coming here for the wages we’d offer, even if we were interested, which I wouldn’t think we are.

Bang on plus we are all being told it's defence and midfield they are looking to strengthen up.

The usual track for this kind of speculation is that the player in question generally goes somewhere else other than Ashton Gate. ABBC means anywhere but Bristol City and it's an age old problem. There has to be some good talent lost in the lower league wilderness that has the skills to step up in class and help us in our hour of need. I think it's critical that we do some good business in this transfer window because the lot we have seem out of touch and losing interest at a rapid pace. The biggest question for me is whether it is the players or the manager that has got us in such a pickle?

in this modern day age players have the ability to deep dive a potential club ... check playing staff get idea of manager temperament quality they are buying into [ squad ] besides wages!
EG: Go to a club on 10k a week and play as a back up, play occassionally [ less than 45 mins a game! ]? or go to a club and play regular on say £8k a week, what would you choose. What would it say about the player?

    Another of the list-

Birmingham City have sealed a second transfer of the January window by completing a loan for talented Brighton attacker Reda Khadra. The 21-year-old has signed for the rest of the season, having also agreed a new contract with the Seagulls, with his previous agreement due to expire in the summer.
