I can't help thinking cruises are for grannies who want to play bingo in the evening then go to bed early. I need the beach on holiday tbh, all inclusive holiday with hotel with it's on bit of beach, lie on beach and drinking all day, maximum chill. Need to book another soon tbh.
Not a fan of more than a weekend at the beach but maybe living in a tropical environment means I get my fair share of sunshine anyway. A cruise was the only time I have been on all inclusive holiday and wouldn't do it again. Prefer to do all the seperate bookings (flight, hotels, car rental etc) and travel around and then we can eat and drink when we want to.
I guess it depends what you're after - me and the missus can have stressful times job wise sometimes, so holidays tend to be about maximum chill, and only maybe one day doing an excursion. Hence some package deal with flights, hotel, transfers and all good and drink included is perfect. Plus we drink like fish, so we'd end up spending a fortune if it wasn't all inclusive.
