Not really. There was only ever one team going to win it and if you thought otherwise it is you who are delusional. I know it's hard to understand we have attacking talent and like to use it because we didn't spend a bazillion pounds on it and you believe that's the only way to possibly do well, but we actually do. We looked like breaking you down all game. I could feel the goal coming eventually before that wonder strike. Just because that's what it was, doesn't mean the goal wouldn't have come eventually anyway.
No I just watched the match through the eyes of someone who isn't delusional because of how much money has been spent on absolute crap.
Marko you are unbelievable! You embarrass your fellow Leeds fans, some of whom I find to be quite shrewd and knowledgeable about football, with your blinkered, skewed view of the world.
Ok so our spending has now been exaggerated to a "bazillion" pounds wow you lot are determined to trump us - Even with a load of bollocks There was no other threat - Only the very well taken strike
Now I'm not sure if you do this personally, but I can't believe I have just been told that from a member of a group of fans who famously still believe they are going to make automatic promotion.
Not on 'absolute crap'. Just misguided players who, with a new manager, will turn us around I guarantee. If we'd had a manager today we'd have won, comfortably. You were nothing special and we were no better than when Millwall beat us 3-0 Like I said, it was going to take something special to win the game and thats what it was. If you can't accept that then there is no point me talking to you. Neither team looked any good, I think it was Gangsta who said we both looked like relegation candidates. He was bang on.
Fans have compared our situation with that of Norwich last season who were 9 points from the automatic spots after 16 games. So it's not impossible. Just highly unlikely!
Believe what you want, from what I saw we always looked like scoring. That's not to say we looked amazing, but we always look like scoring. We're just that good up front. And yes, your players are crap. I didn't see a single player from your team today that was any better than anyone we had. Not a single one. Regardless of guidance, class shines through. Unfortunately your players don't have any. Infact, the amazing £4 million Matt Mills was the one who fumbled a clearance that allowed Clayton the time and space to score that amazing goal. A goal that wasn't just a wonder strike, it was the result of pressurising you for periods.
A goal that Clayton had time and space to strike with some real quality. How did he get that much time and space? Fumbled clearance by your overrated £4 million defender, as a result of a long period of pressure from us.
If I was a defender, I would have encouraged him to shot from there too. 90% of it blazing wide or over.
Not really - it's always a risk. Give a player that much time and space and they have a very good chance of making something of it, especially someone as good as Clayton. It was a poor error by a player who is not as good as his price tag suggests, and it was a result of a period of pressure by us. It wasn't just a wonder goal, it was the result of us looking like scoring for a while.
