I thought it was telling how other players were reacting to him. There was a moment in the first half where he failed to track his runner who got a shot off and both Elder and Woods gave him a telling off. Then in the second half when he was caught offside just receiving the ball out on the wing for the third time Woods gave a very visible gesture that seemed to say "this guy, for ****s sake". Missing a chance is one thing but he seems to lack concentration and/or application.

Fleming didn’t come in with a global reputation as being one of the best players in the world.

    Rosie on the keeper situation...

"[Thimothée] was in my mind but I just felt like Matty Ingram just needed a 'flow' of games because he's not played every game so far this season. Nathan [Baxter] has been in, Matt's been back in and we've got a full week until the next game.

"So it wasn't on Tim, it was more that I wanted to keep Matty in the groove of games, and the same goes for other players like Sean McLoughlin. He's played because he hasn't really been in the team so some players need rest and some need to continue playing how they've been playing.

"I thought Matty's distribution was excellent and he's getting better and better in the way we want to play."

Understandable on one side, but his reasoning could also be used to justify why Tim should have started (he's not played at all), I may be wide of the mark, but reading between the lines....is he ready?

It was a bit mental by the end, bottles raining down on the Man City fans and singing Tuchel's name. Got nasty very quickly.
Not sure how it looked on TV but they were not too bad in spells, you can see what he is asking them to do. Watching them trying to get the ball back from City was painful though, like men against boys at times.

The injury list isn't helping him at all. I hope he gets the time as if he does I think he'll be a real success. I'm maybe a little biased from working with him in the past. But he's a fantastic, knowledgeable and does deserve his chance

Yet less fuss by the police than there is for relatively nothing happening no doubt and people going on about ground closures, fines and the usual hysteria we get.

You would think he has a at least one life left to play with if Chelsea get rid. A club like Everton should be watching this develop very carefully indeed.

I think a club like Everton would be running their hands together, but I think he's better than them. If Chelsea pull the trigger ( I hope they don't ) then I think he'd be wise to take his time and wait for a club in a much better position then Everton

in my view, chelseas squad is avearge as ****, and their attack is atrocious, (relative to their supposed level, competing for trophies)

    players like

    sterling (who i like)
    havertz
    ziyech
    pulisic

are players who could be a squad player at top club, rotate often
but to have all your attack being these rotation type players is worrying

plus there's a real lack of balance throughout
who ever signed off on their summer transfers is a grade a moron
what an absolute waste of money

    but **** chelsea

Pretty much how most sensible Chelsea fans that I know see it. The one question they all have though is... "Does potter have the experience and talent to handle the bigger personalities"

Did anyone else receive a survey from City over the week end asking for your views on the matchday 'experience' v Fulham. Loaded questions all aimed around the delays to get in.
    What time did you arrive?
Did you have difficulty scanning your ticket?
How long did you have to queue on the concourse for refreshments?
    And so on.
Hearing unsold Sheffield United away tickets now down to double figures. Expensive too, and a night game.

    Hopefully.

He's one knee to the temple away from being on the pitch for 88 or so minutes.
