No idea where this rumour came from but it's absurd. Would be one of the all time great **** ups by club management if we're paying him 25k a week.
Two seperate parties in front of me were pissing about trying to make their QR code massive and causing a big delay. I told him to scan it at normal size of the email, he ignored me for a while then did it. I managed to scan a family of 4 in within a few seconds. It is not hard if you are used to using codes or scanning tickets but more stewards near the turnstiles actually helping would be better for cup games or ones with cheap tickets. As you have said if members cards could include cup games that would also help.
Someone in my party was using a QR code on her phone and she accidentally pressed back at the point of presenting it, so what she presented was actually her phone on the camera roll screen. It still worked instantly! A tiny QR code can work fine but if it's too big you've got no chance at the range the unit forces you to present it at. But I think it's understandable that people wouldn't think that. It's logical that a bigger, clearer barcode would work better.
It needs linking to Apple/Google Wallets. Pretty much everyone who uses a their device in anger knows how to use that and because it's NFC-based it doesn't need the device to placed in an exact position, or at any specific brightness.
I'm always content to be in a minority, and have no idea what the word salad above means. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
It means when tech goes wrong the answer is more tech is needed. That's wrong but that's the translation.
it's a shame we can't use the honor system have you bought a ticket lad? aye in ye come then but liars and thieves ruin everything
Only about a third of people in the UK have an Apple/Google Pay account and quite a lot of them have never actually used it.
I didn't use Google pay for ages but find it so much easier just taking my phone out to buy lunch or whatever rather than my whole wallet. It's the sort of thing where once you get used to it you wonder why you took so long to use it.
Rosie on Simons... "He was outstanding - for a young player to play central midfield as well which is tactically against them, their movements and their rotations, is very difficult. "I thought he was outstanding, I thought he understood exactly what we wanted from him, he showed some really good moments in possession as well. "His physicality, there was one moment with Dan James where... Dan James is probably the fastest man in football and 'Xavi' manages to stay with him. He's got a lot of really good aspects to his game and I'm really delighted with the way that he played."
for someone who'd only played 20 minutes of professional football, simons was exceptional just a shame he's not ours
They had offers from Premier League and leading Champ clubs before they signed him up and sent him to us so it is no secret how good he is. The issue for him will be getting a first team chance at Chelsea. If Potter rides this out then he probably will get that opportunity. I was at Man City v Chelsea yesterday and watched Potter for a while. I'm not sure he is as confident he is gonna keep his job as he said the other day. Its also a shame we did not get Lewis Hall on loan instead of Vale too!!
There’s a real downer on Vale , he made an error in his first senior outing with us , ball watching - our seasoned pros have done that often enough ! He then plays against a premier team and is pulled up for missing a sitter , Longman did the same at Huddersfield . I thought he was very solid and comfortable onnSaturday not outstanding , he was up against a fast forward playing full back . He’s 19 ! You give a lot rope for Fleming doing no better at 23!
