Sick of the word "opinion" getting branded about too much, most of the people who say its an "opinion" are the ones that make out things they say are gospel. That isnt an opinion, its believing your own drivel.
Just hope that NP uses this opportunity to strengthen his position at the club. He needs an extended contract to ensure club stability and assurance of money to spend in January. We need a clinical striker. WHU have one, we don't. That was the difference yesterday - but it'll take money to sort it out.
I haven't posted on here for ages but I'm desperate to chuck my two-penneth in. The last time I was a regular on 606 and then here, we were drowning with Leicester fans giving us the benefit of their infinite wisdom. The posts that stick in my memory, I think came from ProudFox, who was so strong in his own belief that there was absolutely no chance of us signing Jack Hobbs. Not even on loan, and if we dreamed of signing him permanently then it would cost us £xm. We loaned him, then signed him for £800k. I've been reading Leicester forums today saying that they're dreading Pearson coming back in case he brings Hobbs and Fryatt with him. I like NP. I always have since the day he came in. The job he has done, and continues to do, with a club that was within days of administration is astounding. You get the odd muppet, no doubt a supporter since 2008, hammering his style of football and his personality. I'm only 21 years old but it's comfortably the best situation (all round in terms of finances too) that the club has found itself in since I started following the club as a toddler. Managers come and go, that's football. But if the Allams allow him to leave then more fool them. What must be part of any package is a clause that he doesn't take any of the current crop of players with him. We cannot afford to lose Chester, Rosenior, Dudgeon, Stewart, Cairney, Koren, Mclean, Brady (if he signs) etc. Cairney aside, NP brought all those lads in, along with other good players like Ayala and Gerrard. It'd be a poor decision for us to let him leave, and I hope to God that he's as honourable as he seems because we need him.
We're all second guessing what may or may not happen. I'm just preying that he decides to stay at the club. He has done a tremendous job here under what were very difficult circumstances at the start of last season. If he had walked when the the truth about the state of the club's finances emerged I wouldn't have blamed him. The fans who want a more colourful character for a manager really annoy me. Phil Brown turned City into a laughing stock. Nigel Pearson is a very articulate and intelligent person who has built tremendous loyalty and team spirit at the club. The football is great to watch now and if the strikers were in half decent form we'd be up there with Southampton. I just can't understand why some City fans slate him. He's building a team for the future on stable solid foundations.
Men should be either treated generously or destroyed, because they take revenge for slight injuries - for heavy ones they cannot.
“The tiger cannot protect himself from traps, and the fox cannot defend himself from wolves. One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a tiger to frighten wolves.” It's just a McCarthyist witch hunt.
Thats what i have been telling people, I wish it wasnt like that as football as a whole but players and managers have too much power now over clubs If Nigel says he wants to go and you say no he can quit and you get no compensation. This is purely up to Nigel now what happens
nigel siad no ages ago.fact. some thick ****s don't get the club made a statement on the matter and he dosn't feel he has to make further comment.
Don't worry he'll be gone soon. As soon as Nige signs his new contract next week, Proud Fox will slither off under the rock he came from.
Let's be realistic chaps - NP couldn't give a monkeys about Hull City fans. His main priority, quite rightly, is his career and Leicester can offer more than we can money -wise. He will go and that's certainly not the end of the world for us. He has made us hard to beat and done a reasonable job in the circumstances - but (my opinion) he lacks the oomph to get us promoted. Our goal scoring record speaks for itself and the loss of 6ooo fans speaks volumes about how attractive we are to watch. Thanks NP for all that you have done - and that is considerable - but the time is now ripe for change and we wish Leicester all the best for 7th place. Onwards and upwards for the Tigers with a new and positive thinking manager.
1st half was the best ive seen city play in years yesterday.................... 2 players short of a ****ing great team. you are a ****er.
