Very good player. There's a fair number of us believe he deserves a chance in our first team. He's never let us down when he has played. He is like a little Kante.

    Terrific player for league one.

We'll look after him here. It's a happy ship and we're rotating players so everyone gets game time but nobody gets exhausted.

We're all gutted that Morgan Whittaker was recalled by Swansea and so was he: the lad had to be dragged out kicking and screaming.

If Whittaker turns out once for Swansea....that means he cannot play for a third team this season....if he doesn't perform to the level that they desire his season is ruined....unless that all happens before the window closes and he comes back to us.

But we've already brought in four new players in (and it's only the 7th Jan today) and possibly a fifth on the way ?.....would there be no room for him by then ?

It does seem we have been in talks with Sean Morrison 31 yr old central defender (born in Plymouth)....who has just been released by Cardiff.

Morrison sustained a ACL injury last February (2022) and although his contract ran out in the summer of 2022 he had continued receiving treatment for his knee.....but come this January window Cardiff released him.

Under normal circumstances we could not afford his wages.....but things aren't normal for Morrison at present......He has vast experience which would help Argyle at the moment as we try for promotion......Argyle worries are is he over his ACL injury and what fitness levels he has at the moment....these would determine what contract we can offer him at present.....a contract until this coming summer at a price we could afford might be being discussed by both parties......some money is better than what he is earning at the moment which is nothing.

I watched Neil Dewsnip's 25 minute interview on Argyle TV. He mentioned the plan to get to the Championship and as a part of that, the club were looking to bring in players with the potential to play in that league, either now or in the near future. With all 5 of our CB's now fit, I doubt that would be a priority.

Seems to be more than a rumour that we are buying Tyreik Wright a 21 yr old Aston Villa winger presently on load at Bradford.

Known for his speed this young Irish born lad has a good reputation.....another one for the future maybe.

Stephen Schumacher likens Jay Matete as being similar to Pantuche Camara but "more secure" on the ball. Since giving the ball away cheaply was Camara's only (but fairly significant) fault, that can't be bad.

Argyles game against Derby at Home Park on Saturday 28th January will have to be rescheduled.

Derby will be involved in the 4th round of the FA Cup that weekend.

Been watching to much football over the weekend.

What gets me is that some games are covered with VAR play back.....and other have not got VAR.....how can you be fair to all Cup matches using two different systems.....a few wrong calls.....some goals offside....but no VAR.....some penalty calls missed because of no VAR.....all matches should be treated the same.

So it's the 9th of January and we have signed FIVE players.....four full time....one on loan.

    1.....Ben Waine.....Striker.....full time.
    2.....Saxon Earley.....Left Wing Back.
    3.....Callum Wright.....Attacking midfielder.
4.....Jay Matete.....Midfielder......on loan for rest of season.
    5.....Tyreik Wright.....Forward.

The old question is...do two Wright's make a right.

    Will anyone be leaving ?

Got to say this window is most unlike the old Argyle. Even to sign 5 players is a big event and statement let alone doing it all so quickly and for 4 to be permanent you'd have to say "WOW!!!" Will be interesting to see them in action when we next play at home.

Me and gang were discussing the fixtures at the last meeting and were thankful the last of the home Tuesdays were at an end for the season. Then bleddy Derby have to come along and cock that up and now we have one more instead of none. Bollox.

Swindon Manager goes to Crawley. Wonder if Jephcott transfer option will still be on the table.

I’ve been watching the news but we haven’t signed anyone today. What’s gone wrong?
