I heard from 2 mags that they were expecting a cup run this year and it was their chance to win something. Oops
I remember some barcode whopper tweeting SkyBet the day Benitez agreed to stay and clean up the mess he had created when he took them down. This kid asked for odds on going the season unbeaten and winning both cups
The Mags now claiming they're pleased to be out so they can concentrate on the league will no doubt be hoping they lose to Leicester.
Change like the wind these lot. Would be delightful if this triggered a demise in the 2nd half of the season
What will cause a demise is if they got a couple of injuries, as we seen yesterday they've got no back up.
I think their first 11 is very much like us under Reid when we were second near Christmas, picked up a couple of injuries and the gulf in the replacements was huge, very much the same as the early period with Bruce, this is why city, Chelsea etc are so far in front of all the others, because if they lose 3 players to injury then the replacements are very much of the same standard
Well to honest Well i did fancy them to get to a final this season, but then again i never expected them to do so well in the league. Tuesday will be big for them.
Chasing the supposed marquee signings instead of improving the squad and now out of FFP budget until the summer. Poor management from Eddie and the murderers
I don't think they care about FFP, mate. They'll no doubt have major Saudi sponsorships ready to roll.
Assuming it gets PL approval. You aren't allowed to do what Man City did all those years ago and bring in massive, over priced sponsorship as a way of getting money into the club. With this independent regulator coming in too. things will be scrutinised even more.
Maybe. But there weren't allowed to proceed with the sale of the club until a single individual was seen to be the owner, or head of any consortium. This rule is still in place. But they still sold without any such assurance , apart from "private guarantees". Never underestimate the level of dodgy dealing at the PL
