I have done a little research and I am not convinced that João Ferreira will be ready to play regularly in the Championship. Is he being signed as a player for the future? He played quite a number of full games at Vitória de Guimarães during the first half season 2021/22, but he was only on the bench during their final eleven games in the Liga Portugal Bwin (on those days when he made the matchday squad) and was used just once for 18 minutes. He was not in the matchday squad for 4 consecutive games (February-March 2022) so it is possible that he may have been injured at that time. He was used only as a substitute for Rio Ave and played a total of 151 minutes in the Liga Portugal Bwin during the first half of season 2022/23. He did start for Rio Ave in their various cup matches and played for most of those games.
This is on the club’s YouTube channel. Given lack of audience, suggests you are right. But everyone starts somewhere.
When Deeney joined us we thought we had been ripped off by having to pay £500k for him because of the tribunal decision Two years later he was on his way to being our best ever striker after Luther and scored that goal against Leicester
Doucoure coming back on loan? https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/01/...erton-exit-collapse-due-to-120k-a-week-wages/
It is difficult to understand why there is a delay. Perhaps the process has been complicated if he was signed by Udinese and then loaned to Watford or perhaps Watford are waiting to decide whether to sign him as a loan player or as a permanent signing. Matheus Martins should have sufficient points for the work permit because he has made many appearance for Fluminense in Série A plus played in the Copa Sudamericana - even if he does not gain any points for his appearances in the U-20 Brazil team. It is unlikely that we shall see much of him before the middle of February because he will be away playing in the South American U-20 Championship from 19 January until 12 February 2023. It is unfortunate because Watford have a very tough run of games during that period and are missing so many players through injury.
Another left back rumour - USA international George Bello, currently playing in Bundesliga 2 for Arminia Bielefeld. Maybe colognehornet, our resident spy in Germany, can cast his eye over him? https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/w...VNm0jEqhQBwbjMW2Avlbl92w9Jf2jEyAGsP2s8CcULpdU
I hope he will be second to Morris who deserves, on merit, to have more games at left back. I was lucky to be at Carrow Road on Monday.
George Bello has made only 3 starts in the Bundesliga 2, although he has made a total of 12 appearances for Arminia Bielefeld this season. Could he also be another signing for the future (like João Ferreira)?
Didn't watch the game myself, but going by all the comments I've read he really impressed. Presumably a little competition for the starting spot will only be a good thing.
https://www.nottinghamforest.news/2...st-eye-ismaila-sarr-and-emmanuel-dennis-swap/ The Dennis and Sarr rumour getting up some speed on social media..... Shame he was not such a good team member.....
"Dennis hasn’t really made the grade on Trentside and his application has been questioned. The Reds should do whatever it takes to offload him this month" Says it all really. The writer wants him out, but a swap at the price paid for Dennis is not going to sway Gino.
No ....agreed... it is just interesting to see rumour writers making 'good fits' ...all about the writer eh.... Sarr can also do a lot better than Forest
I think that some of the Chelsea youngsters should spend more time on the training pitch, and less time at the hairdressers.
