NC said that he could see the players were not focused etc., and would lose the game if nothing changed, already in the first half. So why not make four changes at HT? Poor coaching. This is the first time I have doubted his ability to be a good manager.
Funny how, at the start of the season, we were starting to step further forward and begin to progress as a club going in the right direction. Then the manager turns out to be a snake. The players lose any confidence; look to lose any enthusiasm for their team mates, club, fans and even themselves. Play when they want. Don’t play when they feel like it. Total crock of ****. How do you go, as an individual and a team player, from top of the league to humiliation by Luton, to a rousing performance against Sheffield, to disgrace as a professional footballer against Fleetwood. I have absolutely no idea how you can cram all that in barely half a season. Have to say, there are lots of questions over NC right now. I get he needs to get to know the squad, so might be some suspect choices. But Fleetwood is worrying to me. Perfect opportunity to throw in a few fringe players (that doesn’t include Hammaleinen) who deserve a full game runout (and rest some others). As has been said previously, if you know that something has to change or you’ll lose the game then ****ing change it - that’s why you’re paid to make those decisions. And come on, 70 mins every game to make changes is already obvious. Make the change when it’s needed. Where’s the rule book that says 70 mins?? Only three players went over to the fans at the end!! Cowards! If the club doesn’t refund all those who travelled to Fleetwood, they should hang their heads in shame too.
For us it’s the depressed and pissed off season, so I’d say it’s about even, f*ck ‘em, their highly paid sportsmen who run around in shorts and T shirt in the snow, I’m sure a bit of drizzle won’t hurt them too much
Dickie came over a gave a girl a shirt, although I guess it was because the mum was shouting at him to come over!Dykes almost did but got a ton of abuse hurled at him so trundled off, I thought that was it!
Just saw the BBC report on third-round giant killings. Absolutely zero mention of Fleetwood knocking out QPR. Now that’s a down-to-Earth bump if ever there was one
Someone on the LFW forum said this sort of performance makes you realise what a good job Warburton did. It's an interesting point: under him we played some of our best football for years and he is the sort of manager capable of putting fire in a player's belly. Critchley getting angry would sound more like [******] I'll let the rest of you fill in the blanks. John Cleese? David Brent? Ian Duncan Smith? Sooty?
NC has the air of a man who’s been in charge for 3 years and has run out of ideas/steam and the team has stopped playing for him…..he’s been in charge 5 games FFS…. Agree on the lack of action at HT….maybe an odd analogy but look at Deschamps in the WCF - 2 subs before HT when it wasn’t working Finally Dykes will never get many goals as he’s completely static in the box. There were 2 or 3 decent crosses in the SU game & he didn’t make any attempt to get across the defender. He can moan about service all he likes but even at Ch level strikers have to be mobile….
yep FFP is always bandied about, cant spend this cant spend that, and with other teams they cleverly skirt around it..we have useless owners and i agree with the ferdinand comment, hes well out of his depth.
i blame them all,its their job to enthuse the players and getting them to run through walls for the club, critchley has as much enthusiasm as a house brick..after watching yesyerdays performance, i can honestly say that they are definitely not playing for the manager or badge..an utter embarrasment from top to bottom#shameful
Exactly - that argument falls flat with Luton, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Millwall, Blackburn, Coventry etc etc all of whom must be at least as cash-strapped as we are but clearly have better scouting as they’ve all had (have) significantly better striking options than we’ve had for the last 4 years at least
NC just doesn't seem to know his squad as yet. Have the R's ever won a game with Hämäläinen playing? I doubt it, but if so, not many. He has got to go. NC just does not seem to understand what a raw talent in Armstrong he has. NC brought him on way way too late. Armstrong is potentially one of the very few possible matchwinners QPR have at the moment. Raw, yes, but he must be given a reasonable chance to show his promise? No, Mr. NC, you are slow, slow, slow. That's just not good enough at present. The R's might have a problem staying in this league if they don't buck-up, but quick.
Perhaps because he considered the players on the Bench were even less "focused etc" as those he started.
Professional footballers should not need that level of motivation. Yesterday was appalling on every level but the performances against Preston and Sheff Utd would counter the argument they aren't playing for the manager. This team has been schizophrenic under 3 successive managers now.
Have you seen the interviews with Critchley after the game on the Official and other quotes from him on WLS. I can't remember seeing a Manager so clearly extremely angry with his players in a post game interview as Critchley was in there.
