He must play his strongest team and I would defo start with Callum up front with Isak lying wider. No more fanning around with our back 5.
Think he will, he's played fairly strong teams in the previous rounds. It's like he decided the good league cup run and league position meant we could afford to gamble in the FA Cup and rest some 1st teamers. Hopefully tonight will prove we need to go for it 100%.
Of course he will play a strong team, that's why he rested them tonight. Also, Fulham play Chelsea on Thursday.
Darren Moore is a good egg, glad he's doing well at Sheff Wed. Difference between this and the Klopp result is that Wednesday deserved it, Liverpool didn't.
Adversity is inevitable at any club at some point. Hopefully we get over the disappointment, bin off these ****ing **** players and beat Leicester.
Leicester were so bad at their place that I expect a tougher game but fancy newcastle to win. Newcastle are beginning to feel the pressure and the expectation of the fans are already back to an unrealistic level which is going to lead to players being overly criticised.
That’s why I fear for the game. Fans were rattled by Leeds and are almost unanimous in despairing of Murphy, Wood, Longstaff, etc. With any luck Wilson will start with Isak on the bench and wood absent. Same with ASM and Murphy. Longstaff should also be benched for Joe, Joe and Bruno.
Losing won't be the end of the world either... it's year 1 of 5 to 10, but the same fans that disappeared up their own arses and chaced Bobby Robson out will start up again I'm pretty sure. Top 10 and a cup run was most peoples expectation at best and now they think Newcastle should win every game all of sudden.
That was my pre season prediction / hope and I'd still be happy with it. So long as we are beyond the days of watching (and worrying) how other teams in the relegation zone are getting on, then things are good.
