How? The corner taker would have come from right on the goal line when it came back to him and any defenders will have pushed up in that time. It's impossible to tell from the TV images but by logic, I reckon he was off.
obviously not perfectly timed but look where TAA is Logic and physics are different. He kicks the ball, the defence have 2secs of wait for the ball whilst the kicker will be dropping back to an onside position. Easily feasible. 2 wolves headers too, doesn’t matter if he’s offside on the first one as it’s a different phase of play edit… why was salahs goal allowed?
Salah's was allowed because the Wolves defender deliberately played the ball, starting a new phase of play. I don't think we'll ever be able to determine whether the Wolves goal should have stood or not TBH.
See that’s where it’s not a new phase as the wolves player played it because of Salah. If Salah wasn’t there, he’d let it through to the keeper
The rules say it is a new phase though so was correctly allowed. TBH, this new addition to the rule makes my life more difficult as a referee so I'm not a fan of it TBH.
Then would mean that wolves third should have been allowed. The first Wolves header, he was probably offside, the 2nd probably not. Just confusion that makes the officials jobs harder
I suspect BBC and ITV are quite pleased that Leeds salvaged that draw. Because attractive looking replays to show on TV were looking quite looking thin on the ground until then (Wolves v Liverpool an exception).
