Theyve out spent the division and they are absolutely ****! There midfield is clueless and there strikers are about as good as shooting as there left backs! Apart from that im chuffed to bits and after the week weve had im delighted with the result!
well the best team won,you do have more money but we have the best team.Your keeper had a good game but you can see why we got rid..Think you will come good,[maybe next season].Lets hope you've learnt a bit of modesty.
Scrappy game with defences on top (slightly surprising given the goals conceded by both in the past few matches) and it took a moment of brilliance to win it. Credit to you guys who came organised well and were difficult to break down. But we didn't create enough or look like creating enough. There was no invention in our play and the tempo we played at wasn't good enough. Your two centre mids (Clayton looks a real player BTW) impressed with the way they harried us in possession. Never gave the likes of Wellens any time on the ball to get their heads up and pick passes and you attacked with pace wide as well. And then the times when we went to Howard, he was very well handled by Kisnorbo who never gave an room to breathe. Maybe you could say the ref was a bit quick to penalise Big Steve when Kisnorbo was pretty much doing the same but he marshalled the big man well. It's too often a problem that we can't break teams down or create enough chances against them and something the new manager will have to work on. Once again it's inconsitency as well though. Play well away at Burnley and then don't really turn up today and until we sort this out, we aren't going anywhere fast. Our midfield again was too slow and static. It was probably a combination of you pressurising and closing down well and us just being sluggish whenever we did find space. But, still, we're only 3 points off the play-offs and with a squad that should on paper (I know 'football's not played on paper' etc.) should be competing but it was a dis-jointed performance from a dis-jointed club at the moment and we have to get a new man in soon and we need to get the right man in soon who can sort out our two major problems if we are going to be challenging for the play-offs, let alone auto's.
Good article - Ive been banging on about how good Clayton is and you can see why he was a Man City youth player before we bought him, class in possession, looks like he has yards of space and can hit a ball! Ive stressed on many occasions that playing 4 central midfielders with 2 in wing positions will not get you anywhere fast!
Yeah. MOTM for me with daylight second. I wouldn't say you were 'fantastic' today as some of your fans have put it, more that you produced a fantastic moment that won it for you. If I'm honest, I was surprised at how well you defended and how organised you were given recent results because you looked very disciplined in you organisation and shape off the ball and you could tell a lot of work had gone into that side of the game. I would have liked to have seen us test the goalie more early on just to try and play on any nerves he must have had. If you carry on defending like that though, because it's always been your achilies heel I feel, then I think you'll do well because you've always got goals in you. Should make the play-offs I reckon.
Claytons a real find, we bought him on a free from Man City and sent him out on loan to peterbro last season as he did not impress when thrown straight into the first team
I thought Kisnorbo was quality and Howson and Clayton we're dead quiet all game. King did quite a good job on those two to be fair. Stunning goal, we're used to seeing us concede class goals against us at the KP.
Elland back Clayton was not free about 250K which at the time I was going mad at (because he was **** for us at first) but wow how he has matured!! hes a legend
King done **** all now for 6 months. Nigel Pearson will sort him out Leeds wasnt that good yesterday they was as bad as us. Well done on the win but right now no one cares about yesterday anymore
