I think a lot of the time we see what we want to see. At the minute we want Anderson to succeed because he is the latest big local hope. If he wasn't I think he may not get as much leeway or credit as he does. It works the other way too. Once we decide someone is **** then they are finished. Longstaff is no Pele, but he's nowhere near as bad as is made out on here either. We see the things we want to see to back up what we already think.
If they went all in today at they'd have had to play forward weaker side in the quarters. Eddie howe is spinning plates this week and unfortunately one fell .
I've seen years of longstaff Murphy lascelles and I've seen Anderson have 1 bad game. He'll do better
I think he's had quite a few poor games. But it's down to Eddie and whether he rates him or not. Luckily for us neither you or me get to choose who is good and who is poor.
He's not been played in his natural position with us and it has shown all season, his positional sense has lacked as a result, he's also looked lightweight on the ball, and doesn't release the ball quick enough. Again this could be a result of being played out of his natural position.
I don't think I'll go on twitter ...... I'm saying I don't agree he's been ****e mate He deserves the benefit of the doubt tonight.. OK he'd had a crap game but nothing was right out there ... we were poor even after the subs everyone was off it. Newcastle were **** basically
We were **** as a team. The second goal was down to Joelinton and Bruno combining to give the ball away. Nobody comes out of that with a great deal of credit except Sheffield Wednesday
In any of the games he has come on I haven't seen anything to make me think he was an improvement to other options.
Ooh, yes please. Err, 2 big macs, a mcchicken sandwich, a quarter pounder with cheese - wait make that a double, a bacon may chicken burger and 3 portions of fries. Oh and chicken nuggets, lots of nuggets. Thanks Trev.
That's different to saying he played badly ... so now you're saying he's not better than our 1st team which is not even in dispute. He's a youth player that needs to learn... he'll learn from tonight.
Hopefully it is a blessing in disguise and helps us to win the league cup and finish top 4. We will probably lose the cup final on pens and miss out on the top 4 by 1 point though.
