Look at the item on Tiger Player, hes going nowhere, he may be pressing for more players now that others are interested in him, but reading between the lines hes planning for a future with us
Tevez would be nice, but he's a bit of a soft ****. Marc Antoine Fortune would be great, is Jason Roberts getting games now?
Someone on the HDM thread mentions Calum Wood from Huddersfield, but that would only be defensive cover. We've got Waghorn back for the Derby game, but we do need to splash the cash on a quality 20 goal per season striker. So must be a loan with option to buy in January.
Just watched the tigersplayer interview and NP certainly doesn't come across as a man who's about to walk away.
This "20 goals a season striker" is a mythical figure, sure you get the odd one but the last man to score over 20 for City in a season if I'm not mistaken was Stu Elliot and he wasn't a striker.. 3 guys with 10 each is fine as long as Koren & Brady chip in..
I'm almost certain Wagstaff will be recalled in January and his loan probably won't be extended, at least not until the emergency window. Whoever Leicestershire manager turns out to be will want to have a good look at everyone and may well favour Waggy.
We were having Waggy back for the Watford, Forest and West Ham games... Couldn't agree more with this. Every team needing a 20-goal striker ended about half a century ago when defences were ****e and goalkeepers tried to save everything with their feet. As for the loans, we only really need a striker. Everyone is playing well and the only weak link is turning good chances into goals. Someone who does Fryatt's job getting into good positions but actually scores at the end of it (and that isn't the same thing as a '20-goal striker')
Michael Owen never scored 20 league goals in a season. Frankly, I'd be happy if FryClean got 19 between them the way things are going at the minute.
Roman Bentner, Fortune and some kid from somewhere. The bigger questions: is it a reaction to Cameron Stewart game last week. What is the situation, injury or other, with Martin Waghorn
you dont loan a 20 a season striker, unless its an Adebayor or similar on £100k a week. If you buy one, you pay upwards of £8 million. Anything else is a gamble!
