We're blaming Critchley, SLF and the tea lady but ffs the players need to have a long bloody hard look at themselves. Odd selection choices aside that team should have been good enough to beat Fleetwood.
To be fair I thought Critchley was pretty honest in his post match. The idea that managers fess up to their own mistakes is pure fantasy though, I'd love to know the thinking with the two keepers. Maybe Archer was on the bench as a striker.
We are every underdog's dream opponent. We help them break records. Shame we can't set our own records......oh wait, is that 51 times we've now fallen at 3rd round. That must be a record.
For those who haven't heard this. What we have to ask is what has happened to turn a promising season to dust so quickly? Same set of players but unrecognisable...
I can see a few not being here when this window ends, Bonne contract terminated was the start I feel, Field is not a captain it hampers his game pressure wise and he doesn’t berate or talk to his teammates, I’d give it to Dunne or Dieng Ilias is fast becoming a luxury we cannot afford to be honest, although he started brightly I think Hamalainen has played his last game and Uncle Albert’s mind is sharp but his legs are gone, impact sub at best,Dickie not the player he was for some reason and we are definitely missing Stefan and Balogun, Amos is hit and miss and Dozzel is just miss and Willock has just lost his Mojo, his bottle has gone after the two injuries and and as for the rest mediocre at best !!!
Quite an honest assessment from Neil. He still comes across as someone more suited to running an u16 team!. This squad/team needs at least 5 or 6 changes in personal.
We should've seen them at half time or preferably from the start, and that im afraid is down to him ! Gutless team selection and bringing on Armstrong with 5 mins to go was literally taking the piss out of the fans and the poor lad himself.
He should have come over to our fans and taken the **** he deserved instead of running down the tunnel. Weird starting 11 we can't score any goals,so instead of using the opportunity to start Richards, Armstrong and Shadipo to see if they can make a difference, Kept in Dykes, Willock, Chair and Adomah. Then diabolical subs. Roberts is absolutely shocking. Instead of any movement he just stands there berating players for not passing to him. When he did get it he fell over or passed to a Fleetwood player. Field was shot 2nd half as only one making an effort defensively Tim should have replaced him 2nd half. Richards must start only guy with any energy, Armstrong yet again got zero opportunity, Dykes couldn't even be arsed to jump for crosses towards the end. Totally shambolic and very very predictable, that's your team mate take the responsibility your coaching them.
Well that's now put paid to my Dry January - what a crock of **** that was. So pissed off, I've had to hit the bevvie
Only just seen the result and l thought, how flippin typical. Maybe, we could sell a couple of players and buy none.
Wellington phoenix won Had two players sent off and Sydney missed two penalties As poor as the a league is I think wellington would beat us
Lame post match interviewer. Didn’t ask him why he named 2 keepers on the bench. Didn’t ask him why he didn’t start with Armstrong. Didn’t ask why, as Critchley had just admitted that we were so poor, he didn’t make changes earlier rather than wait for the inevitable goal. He never seems to get pressed on anything. I’d like 10 minutes with him to challenge his general platitudes
Funny story here - I was still shopping for Sunday dinner roast lamb and the trimmings (mint sauce and red currant jelly) and running late at the local Publix grocery store when this game started on ESPN internet streaming. I told my partner to still watch the game while I was away, then I'm getting all these texts as I shop about how fantastic QPR are and that Chair has just scored a goal and we are up 1-0 up and she's pissed that I'm missing the greatest game ever. Only after I return at half-time in the game she is watching do I realize that she's been watching a repeat of the first half of the Sheffield United game. So I eventually find the Fleetwood live match on ESPN and then watch a second half of absolute ****e with her. She had been so impressed with our performance against Sheffield United and was devastated, as I was, when they scored that crazy ET on top of ET equalizer. Sad how much our performance level changed in less than a week, and please do not put forward the FA Cup as an excuse. So at our expense, for the very first time, Fleetwood have reached the fourth round of the FA Cup, so typically us - perhaps St. Jude at work behind the scenes?
