Translation: You're right, but I can't answer that with anything that can't also be easily refuted. And prove I have multiple accounts. PROVE.
We had 52% possession and 1 extra shot on target, so clearly Leicester deserved to run away with it. The only highlight of yours Sky had was McCarthy tipping a cross over the bar. No team deserves to win if they can't score against a team with Andy O'Brien at CB.
I wasn't at the game, but the beeb said you barely troubled us. Either way, I'd take an undeserved 1-0 win away from home.
One shot one goal will do for me. Could have been worse, we could have come up against a team thats spent nearly 10 million on their defence.......................
The hard fact is, the leeds keeper could of played with a cigar on...for a bloke on his emergency debut, did we ever really put him under pressure? why beckford was not given a start today is beyond me..taylor made for him to change his fortunes here... at least its not svens fault today...
Poor game which never side deserve to win. Bamba had your whole team in his back pocket but 1 quality striker decided the game
Brilliant goal and good away performance. You closed us down well. It was destined for 0-0, then up stepped Clayton - cracking strike, no keeper would have saved it. Keep that sort of performance up and you will make play offs easily. As for us - we need direction - we have creative players who, apart from some long cross field balls simply didnt create. Nearest we came was when Schmike hoofed it and Beckford just failed to control it. Have to say it was the best I have seen Beckford for us today. A word of warning for Leeds - you will come up against a referee sometime that will award free kicks against you for holding and grabbing handfuls of shirt. You didnt today. None of the penalty claims should have been awarded. Drab game with a cracking goal.
We was desperate for a peno at the end. None of them was, We lack width and until that is sorted we are going to struggle to break teams down
So mate our back 4 today cost a grand total of 5.5M Not quite 10M is it
I included the 1.25 million Kasper in that so it's nearly 7. Still mighty expensive though.
I don't think Leeds were brilliant today - just produced a brilliant moment that won the game. I posted my match summary in another thread so I might as well just stick it hear as well: I thought it was a scrappy game with defences on top (slightly surprising given the goals conceded by both in the past few matches) and, as I sadi, it took a moment of brilliance to win it. Credit to you guys though who came organised well and were difficult to break down. But we didn't create enough or look like creating enough. There was no invention in our play and the tempo we played at wasn't good enough. Your two centre mids (Clayton looks a real player BTW) impressed with the way they harried us in possession. Never gave the likes of Wellens any time on the ball to get their heads up and pick passes and you attacked with pace wide as well. And then the times when we went to Howard, he was very well handled by Kisnorbo who never gave an room to breathe. Maybe you could say the ref was a bit quick to penalise Big Steve when Kisnorbo was pretty much doing the same but he marshalled the big man well. It's too often a problem that we can't break teams down or create enough chances against them and something the new manager will have to work on. Once again it's inconsitency as well though. Play well away at Burnley and then don't really turn up today and until we sort this out, we aren't going anywhere fast. Our midfield again was too slow and static. It was probably a combination of you pressurising and closing down well and us just being sluggish whenever we did find space. But, still, we're only 3 points off the play-offs and with a squad that should on paper (I know 'football's not played on paper' etc.) should be competing but it was a dis-jointed performance from a dis-jointed club at the moment and we have to get a new man in soon and we need to get the right man in soon who can sort out our two major problems if we are going to be challenging for the play-offs, let alone auto's.
I included the 1.25 million Kasper in that so it's nearly 7. Still mighty expensive though.
Whats all this in aid of? to prove what? to pat yourself on the back and say we have spent less than you? big wow...if you do get any money it will only go in uncle kens arse pocket ...why are you worried about that? I suppose you might get some more executive boxes out of it...terrific..
Take one player away from our back 5 and our defence cost about 1.5m Add that guy on and it makes about 5.5m
