Easy option or he thought he'd get more game time with Wigan? Maybe he looked at our squad and theirs and thought he'd be the main man for them, third choice for us.
I suspect Broadhead decided on the loan to Wigan and signed a new contract with Everton for purely pragmatic reasons. We were clearly after him as a permanent signing in similar fashion to Clarke and it seems that was close but not to be. As it transpired he’s probably richer but would have played and probably bagged a few here so maybe been happier and better off over all. I doubt a loan to us was ever on the cards once Simms signed. Shame as I think he could have made a name for himself with Dialo, Pritchard, Clarke and Roberts supplying him. Probably time to move on now though. Still wouldn’t be averse to signing him but, theoretically, we are in a better position to recruit and don’t need to gamble on injury record so much.
Not saying it was the correct decision but can kind of see the logic. Wales probably aren’t qualifying for another work cup in his career
Possibly but the main thing preventing that for Broadhead is injury, he’s clearly talented. I doubt anyone would have guaranteed that anyway.
I understand why you're saying that but I think he'll develop into an attacker if he's played in the right way behind the right striker. I thought O'Nien could become a better centre half than any other position so I'm using that to back mesel up
I don't know about popular but as I have posted before I think Diamond is better. I simply don't know if Dajaku coming from abroad will have clauses in his contract aabout being loned out etc.
I wonder if it'd be worth a look at Kevin Nisbet from Hibs, good age, shouldn't be too expensive and presumably would get on with Stewart reasonably well. I've always been impressed with him when I've seen him. We've been linked in the past I think, maybe when we signed Stewart.
