    Bang. Defoe's done OK but isnt starting, Carroll is about as useless as a piece of **** at the moment.



    I like how people say Capello never comes to watch us, but then laugh off the idea of our English players getting called up.

    This! Realistically, seeing as it's a friendly, and on form, Guthrie, Simpson, Raylor and Saylor could all get in and arguably should!

    4 goals in 2011. You have to be in form to be picked, Carroll is not - misses a sitter every week.

    Steven Taylor definitely should, he's playing in the best current defence in England and Cahill's Bolton are in dire form (barring today). Cahill's only getting picked because he will end up at Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal by next summer.

    Rodwell is hardly on form. Zamora is not (see his miss vs Everton). Most of those players are not on form, they're just the first two I think of. Capello is clueless.

    I would not mind this squad if Capello was to just come out and admit that he doesn't pick players on form. As it is, after stupidly saying that, he should be picking both Taylors, Guthrie and Simpson.

    Same old flaming Crapello FFs my Nephew would pick a better squad 3 englishmen form the base of the best defense in EPL and none have a look in. The fear of the north must be worse than i thought

    Welbeck is actually quality IMO. Watch him in 5 years time.. I could see him and Hernandez really forming a lethal partnership. <ok>

    Why are Carson, Zamora and Glen Johnson in the squad? :/

    Also Rodwel.. He's been pretty average this season and Guthrie outshined him yesterday. Saylor should have been there(in the squad) but oh well..

    Think some people need to take their black and white tinted glasses off..

    The only NUFC player that should maybe be called up is Taylor, infact he has a really good shout.

    Danny Simpson is okay but not great and the rest of our back four carry him, and the Guthrie shout is just crazy, hes played 3/4 games and now he should represent his country on your logic why isnt Eagles called up, no way, you should have to play 2 seasons on top form to be called up,.

    It is however pretty shocking how Johnson and Zamora are in the squad over Richards and Defoe!
