It's a tricky one. I think whether or not we're stuck with him depends very much on how much trust Solak still has of Ankersen's methods, and quite how big Ankersen's ego is to continue with what is 99.9% likely to be a busted flush. On the latter, I fear it still might be planetary sized, as to have hired Jones in the first place, off the back of a belief that you know a whole bunch of stuff that nobody else has noticed previously, because data, would suggest an unnatural confidence in your own ability. I don't blame Solak for this situation. He's put his trust in Ankersen and (to whatever degree) Semmens, to do something sensible with his money. They've failed to do that, so we're in a position where as I said previously, Ankersen should be on his knees begging to keep his job. Let's see how big Solak's stones are here, and how much he really does care. If they're big, and he does, he'll move to change things, regardless of what Ankersen might be saying.
Said it yesterday, but if fans like yourself genuinely want to send a clear message and make a big stance, the only option really is to not go to the games. Some won't be keen on that, but while fans still go and pay over the odds for **** beer in a plastic cup, the board won't really care as they won't be suffering financially. I have not been going to the games by the way, and have only done one all season. More because I was fed up of spending lots of time, effort and money on being disappointed. Same applies now.
Where does Solak truly fit in? I thought Sport Republic was Ankersen and Kraft's, with Solak putting some money in?

Really is spot on. I hadn't even considered the fact that his coaches don't even have an A license. I mean, seriously, we're like a poundshop Premier League club.
So realistically what can be done? SaintsFC76 is right in that fans need to stop attending and spending money, but will that even be effective in the current climate where the club get the vast majority of their money from the TV rights? I think any boycott will only matter in the Championship and by then it is too late. I'm pleased that the press are starting to report that he is unpopular with the fans, however they seem to be articulating the story from a "poor Jones and the mean saints fans not giving him a chance" angle, but its better than nothing. I want to see Blackmore et al put some serious questions to SR. What's their plan? What are they measuring Jones' success against? We were in a bad place before Jones rocked up but we still could have got out of it, with him we are down.
It's just extraordinary, isn't it? What does "pretty much 12" mean - and why the hell hasn't he watched ALL the games (including some from last season when we were having a good spell, to see if that could be replicated. Along with the continued "they" stuff. It's heartbreaking and infuriating all at the same time.
The only thing I can see we can do is almost embarrass them into change. A few people not rocking up isn't going to do it, it needs to be the majority not turning up.

I must admit I didn’t know about the coaches. The whole setup from top to bottom are completely out of their depth, aren’t they? The methods Ankerson used at Brentford clearly haven’t translated to us, and now we’re stuck with the whole board staring into space desperately hoping someone else will get the blame for the whole fiasco. Clearly there’s something unsavoury about Semmens ultimately being the one who picked SR, but I’m surprised there was no mention of Katarina Liebherr in the article. Surely she, as a 20% shareholder, must have had some input? What’s her role now?
