Honestly though, it would be good to just see some progression, instead of regression. These cup games are a free hit to see if the manager can get the players into a semblance of a working system. Especially this one against palace. Has the manager learned anything from the pathetic display the other night
Is this on TV? Unfortunately Peacock only have the rights in the US for Premier League and I think ESPN have those - my daughter doesn't pay for that so I may have to check out IPTV - will surely be on there?
At this point id accept it if he at least tried a different system to the crap we saw against Forest. If we play with a line of 3 hitting it long towards a front line of 6 with Lavia just say in the middle it will be a disgrace.
If you’ve got IPTV SuperSport (South African sky sports basically) is usually the most reliable for me in terms of showing Saints games and the quality of the stream
Has Mislav been signed in time to participate in this game, even from the bench? He doesn’t need time to get to know the squad as they are playing like a bunch of strangers anyway.
It is so annoying being a football fan sometimes. I posted earlier that it is pretty sad that I just don't care about this game... and I don't that much. But I know full well I will still be looking for a dodgy stream to watch it and be invested in how we play. I think all I'd like to see from the is Jones play a different system that show some progress, even if very small.
I find myself just watching highlights to see if we’re as bad as everyone says. Under Ralph we looked like we were completely out of ideas in the final 1/3. Now we look out of ideas, but we also look like we have no desire to score. I would like to see us look vaguely threatening around the box on occasion.
Match day. The most awful feeling of “I’ll take the loss, hell I’ll even cheer for Palace, if it means the end of Jones”. Please let this be the last game I feel like this.
We have without doubt regressed since sacking Ralph. Which is no surprise as we went from having very high level manager with experience at big european clubs to some who has only ever managed in the EFL, albeit doing an incredible job at Luton. Not expecting any change against Palace, nothing will improve unless we bring in some new additions.
