It’s unclear to me from the links if Bournemouth have made a bid for Semenyo that has been rejected, or he his way down their list of transfer targets?

Burnley join Bournemouth as interest in Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo continues to grow Bristol City's Championship rivals would like to add a new striker this month but only if the price is right https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...nley-bournemouth-bristol-city-semenyo-7993104
ref the above ... NP says would appreciate a type player to break open defences ...... If Semenyo does leave, it would likely force Pearson into bolstering his attack. He has already conceded the squad could benefit from a maverick-type player to help unlock defences. Strange he said that about Massengo ! breaks up attacking players ... etc etc etc!

It's a shame, but unfortunately, like many, we are a selling club. We're also in hock financially and when the bigger boys come knocking you can't stand in the way of business or the players ambitions who naturally want to play at a higher level.

I hope Nige sets the team up to more up for it than we were against Lincoln… That was a big opportunity missed to make some much needed money.
Despite any cup run being designated as a distraction to the league, whether it be at the top or bottom of the table, the revenues generated if you get through a couple of the early rounds are massive injections for the bank balance. The Lincoln result was disgraceful but considering we share the gate revenues on cup games the loss of income was minor compared to the potential gate receipts if we had competed in a couple more rounds. The set up and player selections for the Swansea gig will be interesting to say the least and hopefully could show our potential going forward after the transfer window closes. It will be interesting to see if any players on the transfer block will be played due to the fact that any injury incurred before their potential departure proving disastrous. Money is the root of all evil and what role it will play in the life of Bristol City over the next 4 weeks is anybody's guess. The outbound that are leaving for various reasons be they financial, personal, surplus to requirements or sellable valuable assets need to be put on the back burner until the end of January, but that would leave us very short from the bench. A delicate balance is needed by Nigel over the next little while because he can't ruin the window, and all of his tactical dealings, by putting out squads that are likely to underperform and put us in even more relegation danger.
