Gutted I’m down in Chelsea. Was hoping to stay & watch it…the wife had other ideas…aparantly I need to get home… lunch time train north tomorrow …..****kk….Anyone need a place to stay?
Anyone know the streaming situation on this one? Doesn’t appear to be available on iFollow even if you are abroad. I’m planning to try a very circuitous route of watching on Greek online TV (it appears to be on Cosmote Sport 7, which you can buy a day pass for for €10, but you need either a Greek mobile number or tax number to register, and I don’t know if the VPN set to Greece will work). Presumably it’s not on the Bet365 feed as it’s a 3pm Saturday game?
Actually you don’t need a Greek mobile or tax number - that’s just if you’re a Cosmote member. So it might be an option that works for everyone.
Founded in 1879, Fulham FC is the oldest professional football team in London. They originated from Fulham St. Andrew’s Sunday School – their first ever stadium was called the ‘Half Moon’ and they played there from 1891 to 1895. In their first entry to the Southern League Division 2, they wore a red and white kit inspired by their London neighbours Arsenal – Fulham turned to white and black kits from 1903. The original ‘Cottage’ of Craven Cottage was built in the 18th Century to house William Craven, and it was located in what would be the centre-circle of today’s stadium. The surrounding woodland was part of Anne Boleyn’s hunting grounds. The former Lillie Bridge sports ground (situated near to where Stamford Bridge stadium is today) played host to the first ever amateur boxing matches in 1867. Cups for this were supplied by the Marquess of Queensberry, which is why the rules in boxing are called the Queensberry Rules.the Lillie Bridge Grounds was the venue where British Amateur Athletics were born Founded in 1879. Henry Norris, who acted as chairman of Fulham through the early 1900s, rejected an offer to relocate Fulham to where Stamford Bridge lies today – the man who tabled the offer, Gus Mears, subsequently formed Chelsea Football Club. The first British-grown examples of Tamarisk, Acacia, Mahogany and Maple trees were all grown in the gardens of Fulham Palace , summer residence of the Bishops of London. They were grown by Bishop Henry Compton (who held the post from 1675 to 1713), a noted botanist. One of his predecessors grew grapes there, some of which Elizabeth I ate. Fulham's Theodore Hook (1788–1841) created the world's first postcard. Britains 1st speed bumps were installed on Linver Rd in Fulham in 1984. Fulham, or in its earliest form "Fulanhamme", is thought to have signified the place either "place of fowls" or "of mud" Approximately 5,000 years ago Neolithic people were living by the riverside and in other parts of the area. Geoffrey de Havilland, aviation pioneer, built his first aeroplane at his workshop in Bothwell Street, Fulham in 1909 The Chambers Dictionary defines a fulham as 'a die loaded at the corner to ensure that certain numbers are thrown'. The Hurlingham club is the historic home of polo in the United Kingdom and of the world governing body of polo. Fulham Palace, the seat of the Bishops of London, has the part-excavated longest moat in England.
Shoddy. Fulham paid £5m for a section (9 metres wide) of the River Thames so they could build their new Riverside Stand. They now own more river bed than any football club in Portugal does. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I’m in Spain, flying out on Friday, hoping they have it on at the Pav, quite literally like walking into the 80s in there, including 80s prices…… a week of 20+ degrees… I’m down for a bit of that lol. Seems strange to be packing shorts and tee shirts when it’s freezing and ****ing pissing down outside…There’s a darts competition in there on Tuesday Boom !!! Quiz on Wednesday… my cup runnith over.
Only way to access ESPN plus is through a cable or streaming service. The cheapest way to stream ESPN+ is if you sign up for the Disney Bundle. Monthly fee around $13 but will likely get several games between now and the end of the season.
I fancy we might have a chance to get through if they put out a weakened side. Tom Carney will play I guess if fit, and will probably score. I hope MS gets a good reception, I really liked him as a manager/coach and nice to see him finally get success in England.
Just in case anyone was going to try the Greek Cosmote €10 24-hr pass route (I mentioned above) for watching tomorrow’s game, I have managed to get it working and can currently watch a Benfica game live. However it won’t let you use a VPN which makes me suspect tomorrow’s game might be blocked because of my UK internet. So it may be €10 down the drain. I guess I’ll find out at 3pm tomorrow.
