Fee is the fee and ffp relates to losses in the financial year and over 3 years.
If anything the amortisation over longer period means less goes into the numbers that offset profits each year so.....?
What it tells me is the contract offer is to a guy who never expected so see such money and an agent who thinks all his Christmases have come at once.
Almost assured to be left perma-loan chav who gets Chelsea a small fee each year.
They are trying to get benfica to take 115mil over 3 years to avoid ffp. This is more about setting the hard upper limit of transfer fees etc they can pay in this financial year at another 37mil.

Because they’re only paying 5m a year rather than if was over a 5 year contract 7m a year. So they can spend more each season and spread it over long contracts. Same thing they did with Cucurella and foffana
Apparently at Liverpool he scouted in various countries. Boehly has decided that's not what he wants at Chelsea. They will scout the rest of the world via available data rather than the eye test.
If he's been part of our current set up then he knows the system inside out so it makes sense to have him continue along the lines of what has been a very successful system.

of course if you are ahem city with ahem certain sponsorships that claim to have highest ever revenue then this helps to no end.

Monaco will get the money. Cash flow isn’t a problem. It’s the ffp part which is why spreading it out over longer contract helps them
