Dyche comes up as the closest there is to a Red O'dair in football, to come put a few fires out and get a stable environment. He knows what it takes to survive. However, I would only give him a six month contract based on a huge bonues if he keeps us up. We then reset in May and look for a long term appointment with a more progressive style of play
I think Dyche originally came up is as a result of us hiring a guy that is trying to play defensive first, route one football but has no record of doing it well. It doesn't suit or players, but understandably the question has arisen that if we are for some reason wanting to hire a manager that plays this way, why on earth didn't we go for Dyche who at least has experience and success playing that style in the PL.
I find it baffling at times to think of it from the players’ perspective. Most of our squad have at one time or another played in a successful team. Do they sit there in the dressing room listening to poor tactics and go along with it because that’s their job even though they’ve done other things better in the past? Or are they genuinely of the belief it might be the right approach?
It's simple really, it's the way he's presenting himself as some sort of victim in all this, as if he's just a bystander who happens to be a great guy trying his best and those nasty Saints fans are making life difficult for him. I don't blame him for taking the job. **** me, if a different employer offered me ££££ more I'd be gone like a shot. That fault lies squarely with SR (the poncey computer sniffing twats, I guarantee Rasmus is the kind of tit to wear shoes without socks. The prick.) What I will blame him for is his ****ing whining. I will blame him for his complete lack of accountability, I will blame him for throwing the team under the bus. I will blame him for horrendous hoofball tactics while he tries to blag that his analysis is revolutionary and that we just don't understand what we're seeing with our own eyes, and I will blame him for being ****. Ergo, he's a dickhead.
For me the frustration is that with the World Cup break where he had a lot of time for training, we are worse than before. If he can’t get them playing something decent after all that time how do a few more weeks help. I’d say get someone new in soon so they have 9 days and a couple of cup games to get their ideas across.
I am a Jones to stay voter, I hate mob rule, lynch mob mentality and I am curious to know what he can do with a squad chosen by himself, Ralph was obviously over achieving with an impossible deck that he had been dealt. Give the man a chance for pity sake.
In my opinion it was great to follow the too's and fro's of opinion while it lasted. It indicated that not606 posters showed a fairer outlook on the situation and not all followed or agreed with the Twitter sack fest mentality.
