Probably got a low relegation release clause in the contract, but would be kinda hilarious to see Orsic tear up the Championship. Could be a huge mismatch.
Glowing praise from the Dinamo fans. Saying he’s a real team player and works exceptionally hard, they are gutted to lose him. Good signs I hope.
Looks a good signing on paper and definitely good to get a more experienced player in. Striker next please.
He sprained his wrist signing with an oversize pen, dropped it, banged his head on the desk trying to pick it up, then stood up and tripped over the microphone cables. He's now in Southampton General with concussion and a broken ankle
After last night's s*** show it's nice to have a little something to cheer us up! Though this surely means Jones is staying longer than we hoped? I like what I've seen of Orsic. Obviously watched him during the World Cup and of course he scored that brilliant goal against Morocco. Sounds like an experienced hard working player and someone who has an eye for goal. Seems strange how none of the top European leagues have snapped him up until now.
I don't think it means a thing about Jones. I do think he will suss Jones out instantly and if Orsic doesn't buy what he's pushing then it his signing will make no difference at all. At the moment, there is little cheer adding another forward into a side that creates little or nothing. I'm more furious that this signing wasn't done in the summer so Ralph would have had some extra goals. I would recall Tella instantly to play on the opposite side. Who would finish the extra chances created though is a big question mark.
I fully expect Mislav Orsic to be an unused substitute for the next five games, whilst Saints concentrate on the new 5-0-5 formation, with long balls removing the need for a midfield. Jones will go for five short forwards, as the need for players to be tall enough to reach long balls, aka hopeful punts, will be negated by our inability to find any of our players, who are actually on the pitch. Jones will then explain that his tactics of kicking the ball high into the opponents half worked fine at Llanelli, so he can't see that a change in shape of the balls used makes any difference to the success of the system.
