Something is clearly not right, judging by post match reports of players going straight off the pitch and ignoring their Captain? NJ has taken full responsibility and that's at least a positive of sorts but I hope as someone said pages ago, the players need to have a long hard look in the mirror this morning and the board need to get some clarity from NJ today. Two cup games coming up must be treated with the same intensity as PL games bearing in mind the mess currently in view. If these games show the same traits as the last four games, then even moderate people like I think I am will be thinking change must come with personnel.
Ahh, so it wasn’t an astute Cooper, it was our ****ing hoof ball tactics that cut out the midfield even ****ing worse!
We've agreed a lot lately, but getting Ralph back isn't the solution. There's a reason we sacked him. He was a busted flush and needed to go (for his sake, as much as ours), and the players had stopped playing for him. The error here was his replacement.
Slept on it. Still raging. In his media stuff he comes over really badly. Fully throwing the team under the bus Jones needs to be fired, by midday at the latest. We need a miracle, and as he pointed out, he's not a miracle worker
I thought that. He probably does feel like an outsider, because he's not up to the job and he probably knows that, but he just couldn't turn it down. Anyone feel that he is starting to (already) get a bit shirty with the media too? He just seems so out of his depth and it doesn't look like the players are playing for him either. I feel like this is only going one way, and he will be sacked. Just a question of when. We won't win another league game with him in charge.
Ok fair enough. I can’t believe we signed youngsters from city’s academy who have been learning from Pep etc., then hired this guy to manage them 22/67 long balls. We genuinely may as well have gone for dyche or big Sam
Absolutely nothing positive to take from last night's performance and no Idea how to change things to improve the team. ****ing awful.
Funny; walking back after watching that ****show, we try the Nige “effect” & look for 2x positives ……. we struggled & then my son said, got it! Out on the whistle & will be home before 10.30
Got a Saints email post match survey this morning - the admins / marketing agency are going to have a right laugh going through the replies. This was the suggested half time entertainment from a mate: I suggested they march the manager and leadership team on to the pitch and have a season ticket draw. The team winner gets to ask a question. If The crowd (gladiator style) don’t like the answer then the winner gets to Taser the person.
And another: Mine reads Liz Truss has to go and whoever selected him and spent 80m on a bunch of kids should be made to do the half time challenge naked
Well, I thought NJ would either be an inspired appointment, or a total failure - nothing in between. Well, I conclude now that it sadly is the latter. I`m usually a glass half full kind of bloke, but there are no grounds for optimism here. I see no aspect of the team that has shown any sign of improvement - organisation, playing style, confidence, aggression, enthusiasm, purpose, pride - quite the opposite. He hasn`t lost the dressing room, because he never had it in the first place. He has no charisma, and his demeanour doesn`t inspire confidence. He needs to be replaced asap.
