He was more interesting to listen to. And even though we got thrashed in the PL we were always playing nice attacking football.

What does cobble together mean exactly? From the players already there or signing new players. If it's the latter Jones has had all of 4 days and SR are in charge of that department so not much Jones can do if they are playing hardball again on wages/fees.

The only way we will truly know is come the end of the season if Jones is backed and he still ****s it up.

SR ****ed Ralph over with the lack of a decent striker, they could still do that even if Poch came in.

No just lack of striker. We have an 18 year old or Prowse as our commanding ball winning CM!

I never wanted Nigel to go, would've stuck with him even if we went down. Poch and Koeman gave us some great times but there was something special about the Nigel years which is why I don't fear going down anymore, those years were some of the most enjoyable for me as a fan.

Managers will go anywhere in the PL - plenty of examples of that. We could get much better than we did. Trying to rack my brains as to when a manager has been as toxic to fans as this, outside Saints, and all I can think of is Steve Kean at Blackburn.

As mentioned earlier, De Boer at Palace was similar

Don't forget the four years of ****e we suffered in the championship before the resurrection. Those were truly awful years

There’s plenty of fans who remember 2010-2012 a lot more clearly than 2005-09 the way they talk about the Championship, that’s for sure!

The thing that’s ****ing crazy is, by the end I was certain Ralph going was a good decision. I still back that decision based on the incredibly poor run, and how defeated he looked.

But that was with the caveat that we bring in a manager that befits our premier league status and inspires the players. I thought we finally had some money to attract another PL level quality manager.

Literally every single fan, even those that were massively Ralph out, if you gave them the choice of Nathan Jones or Ralph, pick Ralph every single time.

I am sat here now just staggered at the decision making from the club. How can everyone see it but them?

Do you think Ralph is still in the UK?

To be fair, a lot of people had decided against Jones before a ball was even kicked. I feel for the guy, he’s only human. I’m not gonna insult the man trying to do the best he can with the limited squad he’s got.

Yep, they were and also wanted Ralph out, wanted Gao out etc, who do we expect is going to come in? Ralph worked wonders working under ****e owners, the jury is out on the new owners but I'm guessing everyone wants them out too due to the Jones appointment and a year of playing ****e.

These things take time, Markus taking over our club if we had been in the Premier League may well have gone a similar way.

I'm quite willing to give a lot of leeway to managers because, yeah: our squad is very limited in a lot of respects. But my issue isn't that we're playing within our limitations, it's that we're being set up in a way that diminishes our strengths and magnifies our weaknesses. In the summer, we greatly increased our pace and athleticism, as those were things that are highly beneficial in a high-tempo pressing style (look at the way Palace used a bunch of fast, athletic players to completely unsettle us early this year). Jones is using those players to get on the end of long, lofted balls. Or he's playing our tricky young attacker at fullback for some ungodly reason. He's using Elyounoussi as our creative fulcrum. It's completely mad.

They weren't great but only that last year was truly bad but I would personally say it was worth it for the Adkins years, who needs the Premier League anyway!

I think with some good signings, we could still yet survive. But we need the players to hit the ground running and be the spine of the team. I do fully expect us to go down though <laugh>

**** me, I've just read his post match comments. I really didn't want to make this personal but he's actually starting to piss me off as an individual now as well

"From a tough mining village" who gives a **** mate? That doesn't make you better or worse than anyone else.

"If they're still singing it in 3 or 4 months then they're right, I've only been here 3 or 4 games" We're right now mate, you clearly don't know what you're doing.

The guy is seriously ****ing arrogant considering how clearly he's out of his depth.

    Jones out.
