read a lot about yesterday being the best 45 minutes theyve ever seen hull city play in the 1st half.....big call to make..
personally not even the best ive seen in the last 5 years, that goes to the 45 mins we put 3 past premier league everton, or maybe even the 35 minutes we had premier league leaders liverpool on the ropes...the 45 minutes we steamrollered premier league oppisition wba at the hawthorns scoring 3 great goals also lives in the memory....and these are just from my 15 years, im led to believe the waggy and chillo days produced some great showings in there time..
all entitled to there opinion of course, but seems a bit of a big shout to make about yesterday to me, especially as it only really resulted in 1 clear chance from what i can remember, unless you count adebolas.

They will be trying to ban you next DJ. This was the best display ever ever ever ever.
NP is the best manager ever ever ever.
Mclean is just brilliant and doesnt need to score goals to prove it.
Mckenna is fifty times better than Ash.
I would have thought we could have sold out too yesterday but then i believe it was right to give them the full North Stand and see a couple of thousand seats empty rather than full of Hull schoolkids at the very least asnothing AP does is ever ever ever wrong.

If I remember correctly we also played some fantastic football against Everton at the KC in 2008 as well as 2009. Watching us go 2-0 up at Anfield and deservedly so before 2 dodgy decisions went Liverpool's way was probably the best half of football i've seen city play if you take into account the opposition and location. Yesterday was probably the best half of football we've played under NP, but I don't think it will eclipse some of our better premier league performances.

Fully agree with this; plus the 1st half agianst Liverpool away when we scared the **** out of them, and silenced Anfield. Only goal mouth cheating and a blind ref got the ****ers off the hook.

Agree and I thought of those exact same 3 games myself. Without taking anything away from yesterday it was a fantastic first half and deserves praise, and I would say it's the best football I've seen us play under Pearson, but there are a few games from the Prem alone where I felt we played better, Bolton at home in 09/10 another one where we picked them apart but only managed to bury one of our countless chances.

If we keep playing like we did yesterday we will have no problems reaching the playoffs, against any other team in this league we'd have taken the points and scored 3 or 4 goals. As long as Pearson remains with us the future is bright for us.

and talking about defeats, when we lost to bolton 0-1..we murdered them and should have won 5-1 and that was a top class keeping performance that kept us out, with one truly world class save involved, not weak finishing like yesterday..

The last half an hour of the 2nd half at Old Trafford in 2008 would also be up there, we were brilliant for those 30 minutes and were very close to grabbing an equaliser after being 4-1 down. Not a full half I know, but it is definetly one of the best spells of football i've seen us play.

maybe people meant best under pearson..but ive read quotes say best football theyve seen from a hull city side....nowhere near, i remember the first half at white hart lane, we produced several great passing moves, one invloving ashbee, marney, geo..which involved about 12 passes and movement and resulted in marney hitting the post, if that had gone in it would have been the best goal id seen from a city side.

Speaking of Marney didnt he also run the show against Everton and score one? Im sure Jb came back to start us on a run but then missed Everton? Also the first time against Everton it was Halmosi who was excellent.
