Who are the buggers who like this crap, I talk to loads of people and none admit it. I still enjoy a few stand ups mind.
The list of unfunny comedians is endless. Comedy is breaking new ground, push back boundaries, one liners and there is Tommy Cooper just a comedy genius. The revolving door of so called comedians on endless panel show needs to end. I give you Dave Allen and Jethro both great story teller, Marti Caine were l laught so much l missed half the next joke, Frank Carson, lovely very funny man. My list is endless funny comedian that have made me laught out loud
Mate, the very best off is on YouTube. Absolute quality some of his stuff. Cracking Story teller. When he's on about looking for one green bastard Christmas tree bulb on Christmas eve.
Saw Freddie Starr when I was a kid with my parents, my dad had to take his glasses off cos he was wiping the tears of laughter out if his eyes that much. Also seen Billy Connolly live - both brilliant comics
Comedy used to be about taking the piss out of everyone including ourselves, now its too offensive for the outraged.
Jethro, absolutely class. Train don't stop comborn Wednesdays. What I'll do is, I'll hang you out the window, you start running and I'll drop you off when we get to the platform.
Thing is, you don't get comics these days like you did when I was a kid. There was Morecambe and Wise, 2 Ronnies, Freddie Starr, Dave Allen, Billy Connolly even Tarby wasn't that bad. Then you had the Comedians programme. Nowadays any comedian goes straight into TV presenting
the voice actived flat, "Bugger me" "NO"!! Or the story he told about the big house and the room no one's been in until she found the key, "if I ever find out I'll let you know".
I'm a mid 80s baby but grew up on all them, including Norman Wisdom. I never found Lee Eveans funny but all my mates did. I remember telling one mate that Norman was doing all this in the 50s when he put Evans on.
I could never get away with Lee Evans either. Another who was seriously good - and seriously mental was Robin Williams. His video Live At the Met was probably one of the best I've seen
You'd have thought an Army bloke would have wanted to keep being beaten up by an RAF bloke on the down low.
