who cares what side "wins" if the other side wins it'd be as big a disaster.

I have quietly said this is roundabout ways, about killing klopp over time and we have basically pulled the hands off the wheel ownership model that lead to utd post Ferguson and arsenal post wenger. Absentee landlord is complete dependent on Klopp keeping the light on and has no interest.

If the other side you seem to love win then klopp walks... which is just as bad.

I agree, everyone needs to be in agreement. However, I would prefer to have the likes of Edwards, Graham and Spearman finding the right players and getting the deals done and let Klopp / Ljinders focus purely on tactics and improving these players.

Managers and coaches who get involved in contracts / recruitment side of things never ends well.

Unfortunately, it does look like the model / process that made us so successful and arguably the best run club is now broken.

if one side or other is dominant its an issue

look at Chelsea. someone is utterly randomly chasing shiny toys.

my point is - I don’t get why the owners deviated from a process that was working incredibly well. Giving Klopp more influence is not gonna end well. Literally look at this season

He can’t move this window as has already played for 2 clubs so woukd make sense to get things sorted now for a summer move.

Can’t say know anything about him though

my suggestion is they have not the energy or will to maintain it so when edwards said he was off they first looked to him to suggest his successor and then looked to klopp as it means gordon can be off selling the club

what the glaziers did after buying utd and making utd pay for themselves while paying the glaziers 20mil a year was to let the club give ferguson any money he wanted tp send and let him on. they let the organisation rot form within as long as they got their 20mil a year.

    aka absentee landlord syndrome.

FSG had a commercial plan when buying. the executed that commercial plan and lent 120mil for main stand. kirkby and anfield road end has been paid for out of the club and your transfer funds. FSg continue to take 12mil per year back to pay off that main stand so they have achieve their goals which is to increase club value in advance of a sale.

they simply do not care after that.

the issue is pople at the club have made do with players now. we got the coutinho bonus and spent it well, but we've also made do quite a lot and it inevitably comes home to roost when the sides age and are not refreshed.

and as i said we shouldn't kill klopp, we wshould love him but we've just thrown everything at him now and he will break under it.

I'm sure he himself pushed for more influence...

There is more good news though - VVD has a hamstring injury and will be on the sidelines for a while :)

I'd be happy with him as the replacement for Ox/Naby/Milner but we still need to bring in the likes of Jude AND Caicedo.

people are now absolutely convinced this nunes deal is a "done deal" where apparently wolves paid good money for him on a long deal but its "agreed" we get him for 45mil in the summer.

It smells of the oddest load of bullshit i've ever read but anyway..... i fail to see how there cna be a commercial agreement before he went wolves that allows him go to LFC.

It also doesn't add up give LFC could drop 35mil on gakpo this window when they could not have known diaz and jota would be out. nunes cost 35mil last summer and could have been bought then if we had not issue spending it in jan.

It's probably the Mendes connection. He represents both Nunez and Nunes so there could be some jiggery pokery involved.

I think the rumour started when someone asked Klopp if we were sitting out getting a midfielder this year and he answered:

    "We're getting None-yes."
