Odegaard pulls a player back and then when that doesn’t work tackles him badly from behind. Gets a yellow. So the second offence is essentially unpunished. If that’s what the Laws say then they are blatantly stupid.

How good it is to see Fat Frank getting stuffed. Currently losing 0-4 to Brighton.

Seriously, how is he still in that job? He's got to be up there with one of the worst Everton managers in my life time

Everton have been so poor, Brighton well placed for Europe, much better to watch than us!

Along with another 15 or 16 sides in the PL to be fair...<laugh>

Mind you, looking at the table, I think I'd take a mid-table season just to see Everton AND Wet Spam go down in the same year! :smiley-finger007:

Current BBC stats show that (after 80 mins) Bournemouth have had more shots on target than United. United two shots two goals. It's hardly convincing but that's not what the pundits will say after this. It will be all about them having a chance at runners up. etc. etc.

Edit: eager to prove me wrong they upped their shooting towards the end. Still, I do with someone would stuff the overspending immune to yellow card team in red.

Would you consider signing Pickford as a long term replacement for Lloris?

I have to say, credit to Eddie Howe. His B'mouth sides were never renowned for being any good defensively but this Newcastle side - with a relatively unglamorous defence still - is really, really tough to beat. Best GA record (by a distance) in the league after 18 games is not to be sniffed at.

18 shots, 4 on target at the last count

    EDIT: 19,5 3-0

On the one hand I wouldn't want to see Everton go down, given they share our experience of a bunch of cuckoos rocking up on our doorstep and chirping endlessly (in their case it's worse, as their cuckoos nicked both their stadium and the main mast of the SS Great Eastern, which was on Tranmere's side of the Mersey at the time...)

And then we play at Goodison and...yeah, I'm good with them skedaddling away, not least because we might mean Paratici's apparent obsession with Anthony Gordon might get 25% cheaper

I did tell you it was very premature to say we were going to win the league. That game was crying out for some game changing subs in attacking positions and we didn't really have anyone. Some of our players looked absolutely knackered. If we'd had an Alvarez/Foden/Gundogan, it could have made the difference. We have no-one off the bench.

Until that changes, I maintain our objective is, and will continue to be, getting Champions League football.

I’m generally one of those fans that tries my best to find a reason to hate every other club outside of Spurs but Brighton seem to be a rare exception where I’m just like “you know what, you lads are cool”.

Tony Bloom seems a pretty decent chairman and has seen them rise through divisions, they’ve got a good footballing philosophy since Potter and now with De Zerbi, they’ve got a very decent scouting network and do well in the transfer market (buys and sells) and they’re located about 20 mins from the beach. Must be class in warmer months when they win at home, beers on the beach straight after.

For beers in the sun, pebbles are far better than sandy ones, sand in beers or grub ruins the vibe.
