The 4 in midfield could be more what we need rather than the two we play wide now who may not be the best defensively getting the ball to the front two quickly may be more effective than playing it to one striker we can still use people wide in the 4-4-2
When did we go 4-4-2? When Smith came on while Oscar was still on I thought Smith played on a wing, and then Oscar came off and Smith shifted up top.
It’s more about having 2 players good enough to play in the midfield 2 of a 4 which I personally don’t think we have
Probably the most balanced pairing we could play. Smith and Oscar isn’t actually a great strike partnership imo both make runs in behind. If Tetteh was back he’d be great to play with the other imo
Seri and Docherty have looked fantastic together, glad Doc has found his way back into the starting line up.
