So looks 99.9% that the Vikings get the Giants in the playoffs. Thoughts @tomw24 ? Find it funny that despite winning the division pretty comfortably most analysts have the Vikings as the third best team in the NFC North
Absolutely fine with that. TBH I hope we don't get the number 2 seed as that could mean we play the Packers. We should be able to beat the Giants at home.
Hey saint magic, you're still alive? I wondered if you were as I hadn't seen you post on the American football forum in ages How's about this crazy season, eh? Did you manage to get to Tottenham for the saints game?
Actually think we match up pretty poorly against them, and the luck we’ve been seeing all season appears to be running out a bit now we have some injuries. Still playoffs so anything could happen but I can easily see a one and done scenario
Yeah been a very strange season. Vikings are still the Vikings, Cousins is playing well in the main though which is unusual. The defence is woeful and hopefully Donatell is sacked as soon as they’ve played their last game. Didn’t go to Wembley, I always forget when they go on sale and usually by the time I remember it’s sold out
Well the Packers didn’t make it, which is always a good thing. The number 2 seed was hugely important in the end. I can’t see this Vikings team going away to potentially both the Eagles and Niners and winning. Think they beat the Giants then lose to the Niners in the next round. My NFC prediction would be Vikings beat Giants Niners beat Seahawks Cowboys beat Buccs Niners beat Vikings Cowboys beat Eagles Niners beat Cowboys
Yeah, definitely a tough ask to win at the 49er's. I'll be cheering on Seattle when they play Saturday evening - which would mean they play the Eagles but at least means we get another home game (although every Vikes fan is still having nightmares about that game against Dallas). You just never know in the play offs. AFC will be fun to watch. I think Bills, Chiefs, Bengals and Chargers are all capable of reaching the Super Bowl. Probably the 4 best QB's in the NFL play for those teams. Vikings could beat the 49er's if they play well on offence. Trouble is we know Vikings will have to score at least 28 points due to the defence or lack of it. And Joseph blows so hot and cold you don't know how many points he'll miss out on. TBH I can only see an AFC team wining the Super Bowl - every NFC team has fairly significant flaws IMO.
Yeah agree about the AFC being far stronger. If I were to have a bet (I never do on the NFL in terms of winner/loser) I would back the Chargers
Well next time the Vikings are here, I'll give you a heads up. I actually missed the initial ballot because while the NFL said the queue opened at 9 and not to join it before then, thousands of people did. By the time I joined at 9 I was about 140kish in the queue. Managed to nab a pair when extras were released. But on the bright side, it was nice to end the season with a comfortable and fairly stress free win against the bears. Onto the Giants, I'm always wary about playing a team we've already beaten in the regular season but it's winnable. And heck, so are the 49ers. I fear no one. Also glad we weren't given one of the 1:30am fixtures, though sadly it's not the 6pm game. 9:40 is manageable. As for Joseph, he's been good recently. Except the Packers game but that was just one of those games where nothing went our way. **** happens I guess
Jeez just seen who Vikings are playing next season. Chiefs, Chargers, Bengals, Niners, Eagles, Bucs. Even teams like the Broncos and Raiders (who we're also playing) could be tough. That's a tough set of fixtures.
