Yeh… they have a decent coach trying to knit a brand new team together. I think there’s a fair chance they’ll continue to improve… they can be a handful at home if you let them get a head of steam up and the crowd involved. It’s all to play for!
Based on 1 live game rather than tv, not quite quick enough for the highest level and got outsmarted / out muscled by Antonio in tight situations. The second one can be sorted with good coaching & experience but the first???
I think we need someone better than this FFS.... Leeds United are believed to be interested in Southampton striker Che Adams and the 26-year-old Scotland forward would consider a move to Elland Road. (Give Me Sport) Southampton's interest in Lorient and Nigeria forward Terem Moffi, 23, could help Leeds in their pursuit of Adams. (Leeds Live)
Assuming we’re in the Premier League next season I would unload every loan signing, I wouldn’t want to see any of them return as they’re simply not good enough.
Madness and why what do we see in him. Deffo not a goal scorer which is what we need. He was 2nd or 3rd choice for a poor Southampton ffs
I think the same with Struijk. Suppose my thinking would be one of Struijk and Cresswell to give us a physical presence especially at set pieces and a new signing with a bit of pace. This could be Wober. Struijk and Cresswell are both 6ft 3in and are good in the air. Wober himself is 6ft 2in and from what I've seen looks like he has a bit of pace to sweep behind. Hate to make the comparison but something along the lines of Vidic and Ferdinand. Vidic would do all the dirty work and Ferdinand would sweep up the bits and pieces. Cresswell/Struijk would be the ones doing the dirty work and their partner would mop up behind. Cresswell is a natural leader too and I'm a big fan of having strong characters in the side. Most teams play one up front so I feel this would work quite well. Genuinely upset that Llorente has signed a new contract. It makes little sense.
Yes but our last games are, Man City away Newcastle home West Ham away Spurs home I'd hope we don't need alot of points going in to those.
Considering Cooper is probably being fazed out of the side and we’re signing a new CB I think Llorente is being signed as CB cover to strengthen the squad. The plan was probably for Cresswell to come back and take a CB spot but as he can’t even start for Millwall shows he’s not up to PL football so will be sold or loaned again next season.
