Newcastle and City dropping points also.

Must be a long odds on 3 of the top 5 dropping points on the same weekend. Plus Chelsea today keeps the pressure off from below.

Win tomorrow and things are looking much rosier.

Toney is apparently fit for tomorrow, hope Konate plays alongside VVD as Toney is a handful

I'd like virgil and Ibrahim to form a solid partnership. They would be my first choice all the time.

    Matip to cover when needed.

It would help if he could stay fit mind you.

Matip is another one that looked ace when we where all over teams and they where to afraid to attack. Now that teams are more than happy to push up against us, he looks shaky.

So after the weekend we've come out as winners alongside arsenal and utd while everyone else only gained 1 point or no at all.....

The picture is becoming a bit more clear.

Arsenal by a good margin are clear.
City with their big striker are struggling weirdly to keep up with the relentless arsenal pace.
Newcastle can defend but are having too many draws
Utd are improving with easy run in 4th
    Spurs are slumping in 5th
We are on 4 wins in a row, again all very winnable games catching in 6th
Fulham are loving life in 7th
Chelsea are getting ready to spend 200mil on random rubbish then sack potter in 8th genuine 3 point behind us now

Our target must be newcastle who are 6 points ahead but played 1 more.

Brentford I fear is too tough for our midfield but must must win game.

Yeah, he's miles off the aggression needed.

Someone said he was too deep on their goal but imo he was miles off mostbof the game as man and ball needed to be hit hard.

We've been caught this season between tactics and personal.

We want to push up, press high, hit the opposition quickly.

However we no longer have the personal to do this. The loss of Bobby in the false 9 roll can not be under estimated. Henderson can not cover the ground that he once could. Thiago never could.
Elliott does not yet have the intelligence to know when and who to press.

I felt last year we where looking to move to a more technical controlled midfield but didn't quite get there. We've been caught in a no man's land, not good enough on the ball to control possession, not athletic enough to win it back and hammer the opposition like we used to.

The transience of the midfield is effecting the defence ( struggle to defend high because its easy to get at them, can't drop deep because there's to much space between defence and mudfield)

& the attack, there's no partnership any more with trent, Henderson & salah.

Robertson, thiago & whoever gets stuck on the left.

We dont seem to really know what's best.

The press was our most effective tactic, so we want to keep on doing that, but we arnt doing it any where near as effectively. Yet we seem reluctant to drop a yard and give ourselves a bit more of a solid base.

I love reading some Chelsea fans views.

    it's entirely predictable.

First a transfer link begins and Chelsea have a divine right to the player

then the player becomes the best thing since "sliced veg" as a moron would say.

then they are signed and Chelsea are on for a quadruple.

then roll on 3 months and they are **** and its onto the next transfer link.

Chelsea have a debilitating disease, magpie syndrome.

anything shiny and new is a must for lining their nest but they quickly tarnish and are tossed aside for the next shiny thing.

over the past I dunno 4/5 years as city dominate more this has gone from stupidity to unheard of extremes of self harm.

fofana was 80mil. he's a defender who takes massive risks. bad luck with injury so already signing his replacement.

cucurella. 60mil. average enough left full linked to city so Chelsea had to have him

koulibaly 35mil. world class day 1. day 3 not good enough.

aubameyang. 12mil. nobody can explain that one to me.

zakaria. the great hope on loan and greatest thing ever when nicked but now ****.

lukaku 100mil. tragically bad after being said to be amazing when signed for some odd self harming reason. ridiculous signing.

werner. 50mil. never backed but was oh look we got an amazing player.

havertz 80mil. can't play clearly. Balmedie for all their woes now.

pulisic 60mil just cos he's linked to lfc. one of the more talent yet **** upon players.

kepa 75mil keeper to get one more expensive than lfc. now of course worst ever keeper.

and those are just highlights of the waste and stupidity.

the fact is their fans don't back players they just expect perfection day 1 and trophies or are on their backs and wanting the next shiny buy.

every window I see the same sort of attitude tracking every link and talking big then as night follows day the player is ahit and the next guy is huge and will make them great.

their squad is ****ing ridiculous and they are about to add another 21 year old cb for 40mil and Enzo Fernández for 115mil.

and zero problem with ffp apparently.
