    Mclean MOTM laughable.
Well done to big Dele, but your legs have gone. Displayed everything we have lacked this season in the first half.

Mckenna and Evans- no invention whatsoever. Only making one sub was bizarre. The game was crying out for TC to come on.

We must have gone to different games. First half the whole team played well, and I thought McLean deserved MOTM based on this. But even in the first half Dele's touch was poor. I don't expect him to have much pace, but most of his lay off's - either with chest, head or foot - missed a City player. Second half he was very poor.

Not sure what Nige said during his half time team talk, but it certainly backfired - slow onto the pitch after the break, and I think they left their game faces in there. They didn't seem to come alive until two down, and by then it was too late.

Fryatt was wasted on the left, and I couldn't understand why at two down, and Dele taken off he stayed there.

McLean was absolutely superb today. Some of the balls he won were tremendous - it wasn't his fault that other players couldn't do anything with the balls he laid on.

There's more to a player's game than just scoring goals.

MOTM and well deserved for me.

You need glasses. It was Adebola who won every ball in the air first half.

imo adebola caused miles more problems then mclean, we all know his legs have gone, yet people kept pinging it in behind expecting him to run after it, not his fault, should have played to his strenghts and stuck him on the edge of the box and played off him, yet most times there was nobody near him, i made this point on tuesday night, but fryatt and mclean both react instead of being proactive, instead of making a run early, they wait until its been hit and its too late..

I'm not criticising Adebola, but Mclean never stopped running - he had some fantastic back heels to play in Rosenior in the first half. He was always in the action. Adebola on the other hand was slower, and on many occasions just not up to what was being asked of him.

You said it yourself, his legs had gone.

I'd have given it Dudgeon, I thought that was by far his best game for us.

Nobody played badly yesterday. I thought Adebola played well first half and second half he never really had the chance to do anything before he was taken off. Also thought Evans and McKenna were fantastic.

Dudgeon needs to take his man on a bit more and get to the bye-line and whip a cross or two in. Also needs to stay on the back post at corners as was proved with West Ham's first goal. Otherwise, he had a good game.

It seems so many are desperate to like and appreciate Mclean they are getting confused with Adebolla. Ade won loads in the air first half, Mclean didnt. and held the ball up well. When he looked poor was when he had to run for through balls. Sadly his legs have gone.

This Mclean bollocks reminds me of Biscan at Liverpool, obviously not a sh1t player but just not good enough. Tries hard and is likeable so becomes something of a cult hero for the wrong reasons.

    What Mclean bollocks?

That for one game people thought something different to you? it's nothing like Biscan.

Mclean is out of his depth at this level, and should we get the opportunity to strengthen it is very hard to see how he will be able to hold onto his place. There is no cult.

But yesterday he had a good game. And he deserved the credit for it. You disagree - understood. You appreciated Adebola - understood. But perhaps for many people the lack of pace, the ability to turn like a tractor and the giving up on balls he could have got does not make up for some very good play in the air. But just because people don't concur doesn't mean that Mclean is being held up to be something he isn't.

He was very good yesterday, and a lot of people thought that. I'll be stunned if he gets MOTM again this month.

i think mclean looks good in games like yesterday, where we are the under dog, not expected to get much from the game etc, then his running and jumping and "hassling" the defence at least gives the impression we had them ruffled etc...still wouldnt bet your grannies life on him scoring tho, but you wouldnt fryatt at the minute to be fair...

I don't think anyone played badly yesterday, Aaron has come along a bit in recent weeks after scoring a couple of goals. I think Dudgeon may have just shaded the MOTM award, he had his best game for us so far. Mckenna is also improving. Shame some chose to sarcastically cheer Adebola off, he's not great with the ball at his feet but still put the effort in and was unlucky not to score in the 1st half.
