Bentancur still injured apparently, needs a scan next week.

Romero is back and tbh I'd start him but prob not rely on him for 90mins. I'm sure the reception from home fans will be excellent.

Is there a reason when one of our players gets an injury the medical team wait weeks before scanning the injury , seems to happen often

He's probably already had one and they've had to wait a while before having another.
See how the injury is progressing and whether they need to perform surgery or just let it heal.

    That's fabulous news.

If the 'rest' could last until June 2024, that would be marvellous.

He's getting a new contract soon, based on sources who don't have a track record of being wrong

Dier should be dropped permanently. Mid league player at best. Stole a living with us and got away with mistake after mistake as his face fits.

6 points minimum expected from next 2 games. And hopefully not waiting for 45 minutes to start playing.

We've been lucky so far with some of our own (and others) results, but there's a big gap emerging at the top, other big guns getting their acts together and we are looking down the barrel of a mid-table end of season unless we can start performing consistently.

New energy in the transfer window may help, but cannot be relied upon, so the current squad need to start earning their £millions.

    Happy New Year! (hopefully)

    So...hot takes

Romero as RCB and Lenglet as CCB? Am I picking the team today?
Bryan starting surely means 3421...so am I picking the team today?
The lack of Deki is concerning
So much for Emerson being banished to the shadow zone, he's there on the bench

Zero attacking options on the bench but no Royal, Sessegnon or Dier surely shows that Conte is at least listening and trying?

    What happened to Kulu?

Really want Bryan to have a huge game.

No Kulusevski...and a bench pretty much devoid of creativity and goal threat...and a win desperately needed.

    COYS!

Excluding Kulu’s absence via injury, that lineup is almost perfect in terms of what’s currently available, if only Spence was in for Doherty.

Must be a prerequisite of Conte’s selection that at least one donkey has to be in our XI.

That bench though… frightful viewing but then we do have about 4 injuries. Might just see a Sarr debut at some point if Conte’s feeling generous.
