Nothing wrong with football and Ronaldo getting £200m per year, a measly lottery win every week of the year of £3.85m. Nothing to see here

… given we have 2 games in 3 days and some guys coming back from injury… I think it was pretty clear you’re right. He may try it from the start again as he’s obviously trying to plug the gaps out wide in transition.

Of course we still conceded goals in transition <laugh> but generally we weren’t leaving big gaps. They cut through us with a mix of quality football and good old fashioned sh*t defending.

Thing is they’re on one of those runs where they haven’t played terrible they just haven’t had a break. It’s always sides like that that worry me… as they always seem to find their shooting boots against us.<laugh>

Seems that every defender we have is utter shiite, according to some. And yet, we still win games - so we can't be that shiite. Can we? I also wonder how the 2 best CBs in the world would cope with protecting our goal when everyone else in the team is in the opposition half, and six of the opposition are attacking the two of you? Seems to happen with a worrying regularity, doesn't it? Set pieces? I'd say that we're doing better on that front than we have been for a few years now. They're not even mentioning it on the telly these days! :)

Chelsea have already signed 4 players and now need to offload some due to FFFP rules. I’m betting Pulisic is one of them. There were stories in September, October and November in various outlets. I wonder if the yanks are going to sanction the purchase of the most famous yank player?

We have supposedly offered to buy Wober with a staggered payment plan. I can’t help feel we’ll be exploring loan with options for anyone else coming in, Pulisic might fit that

I was drifting off to sleep last night when a third option entered my head - maybe the takeover is in process? Very early business to get done for a club that usually does dry January if we are skint :emoticon-0148-yes:

We will not be signing a striker but that is just my opinion. Bamford is taking a huge chunk of wages leaving little to spend.
I hear maddison is to see a knee specialist so maybe the toon move is off.

Everton are skint and need a striker so have recalled Simms from his loan at Sunderland. That leaves a good opening for a Gelhardt type to go an prove himself. Mowbray has a good relationship with Leeds and so too do Sunderland as a club. Our loans manager came from Sunderland, Greenwood is a former Sunderland academy player, could Joseph go. Sunderland are fighting for promotion in 3rd place in the Championship and Mowbray will be spitting feathers because Ellis had scored 7 league goals.?

Pulisic has been getting quite a bit of game time recently though?

I do know they are in the market for goals though <ok>

Chelsea look like bringing in 2 strikers plus 2 midfielders at a minimum,m including Enzo Fernandez for way over the £120m mark. Some players will have to move out so you never know a nice loan to Leeds might work?

Looking at the performance reviews from the media, it turns out that Ayling was gash, Harrison not much better and Forshaw was also gash. Some decent performances and Kristensen gets a decent rating over Ayling, Cooper gave everything but not good enough, Struijk out of position, but this one is the problem for me…….. imagine giving a striker some service ffs……

    19 Rodrigo

Just the 22 touches in 81 minutes for the Spaniard. Isolated in this system. Tested Nick Pope more than anyone else with a zipper from range.5

Rodrigo had our best chance in the first half when he took a heavy touch which ran through to Pope. Should be doing better there.
