Wasn't a bad performance from a bad team - I think NJ made a nervous tactical mistake by bringing on Perraud for Edozie, but I get why he did it. Some signs there that things can be creaked around, but we desperately need some good new blood too.
We are so bad. Sorry but a good 15 min spell in the second half doesn’t mean I can instantly forget how bad we were for the rest of it. You can’t defend like that if you want to stay up
Unfortunately for you, football is a results game and you get 0 points for a good performance. If we're not getting the results, **** happens.
Unfortunately it means nothing, we don’t have time left to wait for the future. We need points now. I’d rather we played awfully and came out with a result.
Definite green shoots visible today, although many of you won’t notice I’m sure. Jones is beginning to get things going, although reverting to a back 5 when we were level was a huge error. Lavia should have come on earlier, allowing JWP to get forward more and link up with Stu. But Fulham had plenty of luck too. Their first was a complete fluke, after all. The 3 CB’s kept Mitrovic quiet the whole game, I think the pen was possibly his first shot of the match. Window opens on Monday, let’s hope for a striker signed by lunchtime!
Well they have turned me around from negative to positive at least. Or maybe I changed my password and Lincoln can't post as me anymore
Decent performance which showed that we can play with a back 3 and create a few chances - just can’t take them. Still decent when going to a back 4 and Fulham will consider themselves fortunate that we can’t defend corners. Thought we played Mitrovic very well.
Big improvement on Brighton but still **** all goal threat apart from Edozie. Lets see what January brings... hopefully it is about 3 top signings as we bloody need them
The atmosphere vs Villa will likely be vitriolic if we were to lose both of those two games. But even then, there will still be 10 more days of the transfer window left. Until we get to 1 February, we won't know what we're playing with for the rest of the season. If given the right tools, Jones might turn it around from there. But yeah, right now, he's under huge pressure already - rightly or wrongly. And if we do mess up those next two, he might not get the chance to use whatever new players are ultimately recruited.
I must say, I really don't see what the point of swapping Ralph out for NJ was though. We're still losing games, but we're more ugly. That's about it.
