Hermes Allen in a different Stratosphere there.

Regarding the earlier Moore winner, he seems to be able to do this with several young horses over the last few years, then it's revealed they are highly strung and hard to handle, win 1 or 2 more hurdle races before being hounded around Plumpton and Fontwell in class 6 handicaps for the rest of their careers.

Moore seems to train a lot of "nutters" I often wonder why with a very sceptical view point on it. Answers on a postcard as Sir Barnabus would say.

"Precocious types" is the polite form I believe <laugh>

I do agree he could be another Nassalam and it should be noted that Nico de Boinville stopped trying on Jet Powered once he knew he was beaten (I don't like when he throws his toys out the pram like that BTW - I'm not saying he should have flogged Jet Powered but there is still the rule about riding your horse to obtain the best finishing position). I thought the McManus horse ran a nice race too.

sue smith once said that the best horses were the dumbest , they’d always try , the intelligent , thinkers , would often not co operate and were a pain to train and try to race with !
