I think Bennette could replace Clarke, its a shame that Max Thompson is still out injured though.

I thought Dajaku did well when he came on against Wigan so I'd give him a start instead of Jewi. Thompson isnt ready for the 1st team yet, he's decent in the box but all round movement and link up play is poor

3 games in a week has left some thinking our players may be tired.
    That may be true.
    However.
The other teams have also played 3 in a week.
    and
Our lot are quite young and you would expect them to recover quicker.

If anything, 3 games in a week may give us a small advantage and our bench still has a lot of good options.

Agreed - although the amount of injuries building up and a fully fit Simms being unavailable counters that a bit.

Blackpool won’t have as big a squad as us and will be feeling more mentally tired due to results going against them on a regular basis. Hopefully anyway.

So did every player we have I’d guess - it’s not playing kids football though and it’s a 3rd game in 6 days. Every team picks up more injuries at this stage of the season - it’s no coincidence. Saying that as a supporter it’s a great time of year with the games coming every few days.

Good that we rested Evans v Wigan. He can come straight back into the team and let TM rest Neil if needs be

TM suggested Batth, Cirkin and Gooch might be available. Either way, none of these injuries are long term so should all be available v Swansea

If them 3 are back they will also be fresher than most - Ballard was excellent the other day but looked really tired at the end so I think he’ll be a doubt if Batth is back. Saying that he’s about 21 and will recover quickly so I hope he stays in the team and is 100%

Most of them can have 2 weeks off after tomorrow's game. We need to pick our strongest possible line up the rotate in the cup

Me too. Pub match on a Saturday and Sunday morning, 5 a side Sunday night, couple of games through the week and kick a outs as well.

Not quite at their level! It’s a risky thing as injuries occur more at this time of year.

We are lucky to have such a big squad - most teams would be playing u23s if they had 7-8 injuries like we have

OK everyone, I no longer have a spare for tomorrow, tbh I'd probably be able to use a few more if anyone hears of any ...

... no idea which pub we're in yet, waiting for instructions @malagamackem

I'll be there around noon to meet a few loons who are staying tonight.

Safe journey to anyone travelling and Happy New Year to everyone.

Thanks again RTB , your threads are a super bonus. as would be 9 points over Xmas. Unthinkable at one time, but no longer the case with our squad. OaU

Got a ****ty feeling this may go against us and we’re back down to earth with a bump. They’re much more together than and gave Sheff Utd a v tough game. They’ve not lost by any big margins either, even through their poor run. so possibly a very tight win for us, but I reckon this could be a 1:1. Hope we thump them of course

This seems to be our pub for tomorrow ...

... fifteen minutes walk to the ground, a few of our lads in there from early on and they sell beer <laugh>
