I agree the attitude of those teams was much better, even if the raw talent wasn't.

The problem is not the coach/manager... you are right..... it is the culture.....

and Mark you are right too... in the past players tried.... and we had no dosh...... now we have a massive debt and players and a team who cant meet the expectations

A dreadful night, made worse by listening to the Swansea commentators whooping with joy. The only good thing was I didn't pay for Hive.

Guys, irrespective of if you thought our players were falling over in the wind ….. I thought you were were incredibly poor tonight.

I remember the great matches that Tosh’s teams had against Graham Taylor’s team (Barnes, Blissett, Ross Jenkins etc) and thought this was the worst display from a Vicarage Road team that I have seen in Swansea.

That said, I hadn’t realised that you had so many guys out ….

I certainly wouldn’t have thought we’d win 4-0 - we’d only taken 5 points from the last 24 on offer.

Good luck the rest of the season <cheers>

Andrew French reporting on his Twitter feed that Slaven Bilic was furious after the game and said that he was embarrassed. Bilic said he will keep it internal but he told some players that they didn’t try properly. Andrew French will type up some quotes later, but has not seen Bilic angry like that before.

Trouble is the Pozzos etc seem to back the players if the manager gets a bit nasty with them going by past experiences.

If the children have the power to choose the nanny, they become petulant little bastards and even Mary Poppins gets the sack before she gets a chance to show her magic.

I doubt I will. I was so disgusted and angry last night that I promised my wife I wouldn't watch any more games until after a five match winning streak.
I think that's me done for the rest of the season - at least.

Five? That smacks of "I don't want to watch this rubbish anymore anyway" ! A three, even two, match streak would have sufficed ;)
Right now we couldn't beat eggs!
