Smokin' joe in hospice with liver cancer

    After being diagnosed just over a month ago with liver cancer Smokin' Joe is now in a hospice. Leslie Wolff, his manager, told Reuters that ..."I would be a liar if I did not tell you it is very serious.
    I always felt that Smokin' Joe didn't get the credit he deserved.
    I wish him all the very best for the biggest fight of his life.

    His fights with Ali were amongst the best fights in the history of boxing. He beat Ali, lets hope he beats this sucker.

    He revels in the fact that, in his mind, his fights with Ali left Ali with brain damage/Parkinson's disease. It's his voicemail - he does an "Ali rap" taking the piss!

    My mate does boxing portrait photography and was lucky enough to meet him at a gym recently and get a couple of shots.

    Still looked hard as **** even as a grizzly old man<ok>

    A great fighter even if he was a bit of an arsehole when he said he was happy to see Ali with Parkinson's.
