Well it didn't work , hope he learns that trying to cheat doesn't pay ;) still we weren't complaining much when Gomez was doing it for us, and probably for Wigan now, though it doesn't seem to help them

Seems like most writers from the tabloids follow Sir Alex Ferguson's lines of attacks, which are as ridiculous as they are transparent.

This was SAF comments on Ronaldo a few years back:
"I do know is that Cristiano Ronaldo must be one of the most fouled players in the league. "The fouls are frustrating, especially for Ronaldo, and I have nothing but admiration for the way he picks himself up and keeps running at people. "Time after time he is tackled unfairly and often opponents try to indicate that he has dived. "Of course, when Ronaldo is running at full speed sometimes it doesn't take much to knock him over but the truth is that too many opponents don't know how to tackle properly. And to disguise their shortcomings they accuse him of falling deliberately. "I am pleased for him with the punishment he has taken lately. I have been making the point about his courage and the fact he is clearly determined that he is not to be kicked out of the game." Ferguson added: "I will continue to hammer away at the need for protection for football's most skilful players."

And this was Ferguson's comments on Suarez recently:
'The boy Suarez dives all over the place."

Suarez and ronaldo are a similar kind of player, they both try and cheat their way through the game, they both dive and try to get their fellow professionals sent off, the good thing is ronaldo is no longer in the British game thankfully !

Sorry to burst your bubble kidda but British players have been doing it for decades,Franny Lee was a specialist in the art of diving in the 60s and 70s.

Yes but them two spend as much time on the their arses as actually playing, so sorry to burst your bubble kidda, they have taken it to almost an art form, and that is why refs are not taken in by the whining so much !

What would you expect ? Of course he is going to defend his own players whilst trying to highlight what opponents are doing and trying to plant those seeds in the officals minds.

    All good managers do this.

Ferguson's views carry a lot of weight within the press and therefore in the minds of those that read or view them on tv,he single handedly with his 'diver' remark made Suarez public enemy number 1 and a target for abuse as Sharner's comments last week showed.

So they are the only two(foreign or British)that you can think of that dive/go down to easy/simulate etc?

If so you need to get out of the valley's more often boyo.

No I didn't even say that, but those are the examples on here , and what fine examples they are as well ;)

And by the way i don't live in the valleys, so your preconceptions of welsh people have taken a blow I guess!

Im not saying he does Eric,im saying hes been targeted and Fergies mates in the press are loving it.

ffs Rooney,Gerrard,Lampard etc have been known to dive,British players feign injury etc.

But it looks like Suarez is mentally strong and the BS is'nt affecting him.

SAF certainly knows what he was doing. By highlighting a problem with a big threat and quality player that Suarez is is clever though ( from a United fans perspective )

Balance my post ? The thread is about Suarez , and somebody mentioned ronaldo , and let's face it they have the reputation of diving, Suarez yesterday was trying to get swans players booked all of the game yesterday by his play acting, sorry he's a great player but deserves the ridicule he gets!

    <laugh>

Jager i was there yesterday and your deluded to think that he was more concerned about getting Swansea players booked than he was trying to help his team by scoring a goal.
But whatever mate, the swans played well yesteday and deserved the point.

    PS.

That ****head mod of yours(DragonPhil)is an embarrassment to the good lads on your board.

Have to agree with Page. Suarez was not "trying to get swans players booked all of the game yesterday by his play acting,".
