Mickel Miller was withdrawn at half-time against Cambridge....he felt a tighteness behind his knee so was subbed.

Hoping it's because he hasn't played much football this season... because of an injury that he has just returned from ...that he picked up in pre-season.

Just our luck that Mickel Miller is out again....maybe if he wasn't injury prone he'd probably be playing for a bigger club.

Encouraging news about the January window.

Even before the 2022 Football World Cup has finished....the great god of unspeakable bottomless wealth has spoken......are you sitting comfortable....then here it is.

Saudi Arabia is seriously considering an audacious and hugely controversial DOUBLE bid to host the Olympics and the World Cup in the same decade.

As the current World Cup in Qatar reaches its finale...the rival nation's sports minister told Telegraph Sport of Saudi's ..."incredibly ambitious" plans.

Other Riyadh-based government sources confirmed for the first time a 2030 bid was..."all but certain"... after speculation over the country's position.

Talks around potentially going head to head with Qatar for the 2036 Olympics are at a much less advanced stage.

However...Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal...the Saudi sports minister...says the country is equipped to host both.

    Daily Telegraph Sport...Friday...16/12/2022.

I assume being equipped means they have convoy's of articulated lorries crammed full of money, money...money... just waiting to find someone to bribe ...and then spend on building the required infrastructure with far eastern slave labour.....there is a good chance of father tyme sparing me from that event.

Just image Sepp Blatter crying himself to sleep every evening because he left the "cesspit"...to early....not just brown envelopes anymore...but very large brown parcels.

Rearranged League game away to Accrington will be Tues 24th Jan at 7-45pm.

Rearranged because Accrington will be playing in the FA Cup on the original date of Sat 7th Jan 2023.

There is talk of Birmingham offering Sam Cosgrove to Derby as part of a wider deal that would bring Krystian Bielik to Birmingham.

Yes but there is also the point being made that Cosgrove has already played for 2 clubs this season therefore even if he went to Derby they couldn't play him. If that is the case it does seem rather unlikely that they would take on the sort of wages he is reputed to be on and not be able to use him. Not the greatest incentive as part of a deal is it.

Maybe that rule only applies to loanees......Derby would be making him permanent as a make weight in a deal with Bielik going the other way.....I don't know the ruling in such deals.....I would have thought a permanent deal isn't governed by such rules ?

According to a bloke on pasoti who is quoting rules he says "a player may be registered with 3 clubs during a season but is only eligible to play for 2 in official matches". He seems to know what he is saying having presumably looked up the rule book so if true then Cosgrove would be a non player if it happened.

1.....Sam Cosgrove was on loan at Shrewsbury until the end of January 2022.

2.....Loaned to AFC Wimbledon until the end of 2021/22 season.

3.....Played three times in August 2022 for parent club Birmingham.

4.....Loaned to Argyle on 1st Sept 2022....ON A SEASON LONG LOAN.

5.....Is there a difference in rules regarding....Loaning or Selling a player ...in how many clubs they can play for in one season ?

6.....Question is can they recall him if they want to SELL him to Derby linked with a transfer deal including Krystian Bielik going the other way ?.......even if he is on a season long loan ?

7.....Would Derby want to sell Bielik and have Cosgrove as part of a "make weight" deal....and not be able to play him for over half a season.....seems rather weird.

EFL RULE 44.4.....In accordance with FIFA regulations a player may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season.....during this period.....The player is only eligible to play in official matches for two clubs.

Heard we had signed one about 2 hours ago. I just trust the staff at Argyle to get the recruitment right these days. Look forward to seeing how he does.
