Enjoying a little tour on the Wigan forums. As usual a range of opinions from us being really poor, getting a soft penalty and how they should have been winning at HT to them being the worst team ever to grace a football field. Was a stonewall penalty mind
Just got in from the Morecambe match and trying to catch up on this thread, bloody hell what a squad we have...grandson was over the moon that his team win it the lads have trumped that...what a time to be a Sunderland fan.
Clarke worries me. He's dropped off alarmingly since the World Cup. He started the season like a train but seems unable to even beat his man right now. Once we have some players back from injury, he could do with a spell out the team to rest up I think
Took me until the end of Emmerdale (20.00hrs) to get through on the red button Clocky, I reckon my missus was standing on the wire or something
He was brilliant on Boxing Day and off his game tonight, probably just needs to be benched for a game or two
Yeah, maybe I'm being harsh - he was good v Blackburn and wing back isn't his position. Suppose it just shows the standards he set earlier this season
He looks mentally tired like he's run out of fresh ideas so he has to turn to his default moves but defenders at this level are wise to them. Like you say we know he's got the ability to smash it at this level he just needs a bit of a rest.
Hmm latics speck..said we could have won 8-1 they were so poor. Imho, ee were not very good ourselves but they were awful Ps they do not like dear old Max Power
Hopefully we've learned from Dan Neil and Calum Doyle's struggles last season. No sense in burning these kids out
And some of us worried about an ex Sunderland players backlash....we really should have more faith in the new regime, iI'd have been happy with mid table obscurity but now the sky's the limit....If we hang into LND.
Don't you just love TM, and some complain he sends them to sleep, he talks more sense than our previous half dozen managers imo.
