Just saw the news, RIP Pele. A player who raised the game to another level, and is rightly referred to as a legend.
RIP Pele I saw him play in 1977 at the end of his career against the Vancouver Whitecaps. His class was still evident in that game. Around that time I also got to see Eusébio and Beckenbauer play in Vancouver at Empire Stadium where Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile record.
