I'm glad he got a decent reception. Gets unnecessary stick sometimes. Haaland sounds like he was received quite well too.
Quick question Did anyone notice as I did that every time we had the ball past the halfway mark their defence was packed on the other hand reverse situation all I saw was our player running back to cover and in nearly every case too late It was so bad that I even started to count the MC players to see if they had more than us For me Jesse has until the West Ham game lose that and I want his head along with Radz and co Time we stopped making excuses for the bunch of has beens we are saddled with
I would like to disagree with you. I thought we contained Citeh for the much part. The chances City had, you would have expected a top flight keeper to save those, which is why I called them half chances. We worked so bloody hard to get the ball back time and time again, only to give it away 3 passes later. I understand the point you make about Liverpool and Chelsea, but we have dropped points, but not having that extra gear. How many games have we lost by just a goal!
Lots of sharpening of knives this morning for what was a regulation 2 goal defeat against the best team in the land. Expectations as ever are unrealistic because no matter how much everyone knew that defeat was coming the reality is that many just can't accept that we're a million miles away from being abe to compete against teams like City. The good news is we can compete against just about every other team in the League, so to everyone who's slating our players and/or wanting Marsche out maybe just remember that we're actually doing ok all things considered.
Are we doing okay? Seems to me that we are in a similar position as last season and at this point people were calling for Bielsa to go. Whilst I’m not calling for him to be sacked I’m not sure why Marsch isn’t under similar scrutiny.
agree with this Jammy… just think a regulation spanking from a top side helps to highlight both the team’s weaknesses and the fans’ sense of perspective in equal measures.
Marsche has been under intense scrutiny since day one and to be fair to him keeping us up was a very good achievement. With that in mind what realistically were this seasons expectations and are we currently on target to attain them ? I'd say we're slightly behind the curve as it stands, with mitigating circumstances (again), such as no Sinisterra, Bamford & Firpo meaning we wait and see where we are come the 1st week of March and given the fixtures we have between now and then I'd expect Jesse to still be our head coach.
The word legend will be used no doubt and on this occasion it is fitting to use the word, along with iconic and majestic....Pele R.I.P.
