I mainly question the buys. the way we play is much much better, we try to move the ball around. I just think we bought Downing to feed Carroll and that is not working at all with both looking massive flops. We need someone to score goals, I would like to see Bellamy givin a run of games to see if he can get them for us.
Bellamy would score goals, but would that negate downings crossing ability as he's 3'2 You just need someone who's proven to score goals. Darren Bent?
Downing crosses? Would love to see some of those, at least the quality ones, not ones that are too short or too long. At least Bellamy would be in the box, unlike Carroll who wonders to the wings, then when Enrique or Downing get the ball, no one is in the box! Bent would be too much and for that money I would want someone younger and more technical as well. See me, I am not British so I could care less if we bought British ( although I know it will pay off when the homegrown and all that kicks in). But for example on the wing, Hazard was there, Gervinho, Cazorla ( my fav one), Turan to be bought and all cheaper or same price as Downing. Forwards, We bid for Gomez and Llorente and got turned down then went to Carroll. Had we waited, we could have spent 35 million and got Falcao.... now that would have been a signing. Oh and Falcao went to Atl. Madrid, who are not in the CL!!!

According to what, MotD? All the stats were in our favour, but overall it was an even game (they perhaps had the better of the second half, us the first)
